Thanks for the technical feedback.
I'm not really into car technical; just know enough to (hopefully) not get conned. laugh.gif

I dont floor the pedal; just alot of stop-go-stop-go... which is the main cause of the high fuel consumption. On highway, a full tank (34L) can get me to Ipoh (over 200KM) and still over 50% of fuel remain in the tank

QUOTE(daijoubu @ Feb 5 2010, 02:06 PM)
Yup =D former edifier showroom fella. No wonder ur nick sounds familiar =D. How are you man? Things been good?
Thanks for your long reply bro smile.gif. AFAIK the CPS have improvement in both intake and camshaft, while IAFM only have improvement on intake. They dont come together. The CPS is the better one, and from what i read, most reviewers say that in the engine with IAFM, torque dip is still noticable, but definately less, while on CPS, its almost eliminated.

But fuel consumption wise, what is the FC if on 80% highway and 20% city? =D that is more of my driving style. for 100% city its quite expensive tho 0.o. u must be really flooring it! =D

....
what i mention on my post above is the member drive in high speed on D maybe somewhere around the area of 170-180km/h then suddenly drop to 3 maybe because he expect the car can gain more torque but that was a stupid move as the rpm shoots over than 7000 and caused the piston rings to burn n jam...
Wow.. this type of driver also got... sweat.gif
I feel the pain for the engine... cry.gif

The (in)famous auto-shift...
With experience, you'll be making "dangerous" corner with it brows.gif
But, expect higher maintenance on your gearbox and petrol consumption.

My advice, with an active ECU-gearbox, check your ATF regularly.. me, I plan to do it every 20K or at least once a year

QUOTE(emkay_2020 @ Mar 10 2010, 05:18 PM)
i think so
isit consider normal and this is my 1st time using campro engine
sometimes when i drive , the gear will auto shift down
isit true?

Shazmn no money? shocking.gif shocking.gif .. so unbelievable...
laugh.gif (joking joking)

Question that pop up is that campro engine is compatible with Kancil-class mineral oil?

If engine quality is poor (last time I was driving a >20years old daihatsu charade), mineral is better because the "size" is bigger.

If normal engine (donno what it mean by normal..laugh.gif), semi-syn is preferred.

If rich, fully-syn is the best.

I thought that even if we can use mineral, we should be aiming for bigger "number"-version, right? Because our engine cc is so much higher than kancil's engine cc ?
QUOTE(shazmn @ Mar 17 2010, 07:51 AM)
i use mineral oil oni cry.gif

summore its for kancil...3 liters + treatment so ngam2...i no money buy semi or full synthetic eng oil cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

I faced this problem before.
The cause = the middle-rear water pipe leak. This water pipe is to "pancut" water to your rear window. Need to put PBC(?) to seal the leakage.

The long-term cause = ur roof's cushion will "fall-off"; it will start banging the head/hair of those sitting at the rear seat.

Solution: change cushion (because the glue loses the stickiness, after contact with water), Rm400, if not mistaken. Alternative, you can change the entire roof-set (cost more tongue.gif )

Guys, my car acting up again.

The fan doesn't stop spinning after i turn the engine off. I vaguely remember that some sensor or chip controls the fan/temp ; and allows the fan to spin for a little while after the engine is turn off to turn down the overall engine temperature.

I cannot remember the name of the sensor or the "box", but I think that this sensor is giving problem again.

Also, I vaguely remember that the repair cost is roughly 300$ so if anyone know the name and/or price of this item, I appreciates all advice

After IOI mall, toward Cyberjaya..
After the turning toward Tractor Msia, you'll come to another left turn just before the Toll Plaza.

From the look, chassis seem okay, engine and suspension system might need to check/repair. bumper and body need to respray. If not mistaken, tyre also might have problem(?)

Time to consider modding? brows.gif
*time to :polish: brows.gif *

You know, engine rosak means rosak... better get new engine, maybe mitsu
Front suspension also need to change, try consider adjustable suspension brows.gif
Go 18" tyre, better stability at highspeed tongue.gif

For Info, only the first generation (few batches in year 2004) have built-in Captor. This is due to 2 primary reason:

1. Captor was establish in Msia and is looking for marketing/promoting their product (this one I confirm as I ask Captor during my re-activation. Sadly, I didnt follow up in 2009 and 2010 cry.gif ). They have a MoM with Proton to add it to Gen-2 as part of promotion for both Captor and Gen-2

2. Proton has a new concept (Gen-2 really look odd/unlike the others Proton "established" model such as Saga and Wira). Due to this, they would need as much "goodie" as much to promote their new model.

It was discontinue in later batch because of cost-related issue. And also the MoM is only for a short period only.

QUOTE(Blue_Diamond @ Apr 26 2010, 11:01 PM)
I'm not sure as well. All the while i thought all Gen.2 comes with factory installed Captor. Need someone who has just bought a new Gen.2 to clarify here. smile.gif

Mine got when i bought in 2007.  tongue.gif

In another note:
I have a weird issue... Yesterday, when I was driving in un-even road, I can hear squeaky sound from my my back-left side of the cabin. However, this morning, the sound is not as attention-grabing as it was yesterday.

Anyone know of the reason?

edit: .. mistaken put year 2004 as year 2006 (Gen2 initial launch is 2004, not 2006) sorry for the mistaken and TQ for headup notworthy.gif

Arnt the account number written on the loan document itself?
Or you can call the ever-friendly customer service department in maybank for details laugh.gif .. they exist for a reason whistling.gif (personally, i call them only when i'm in either a good or foul mood laugh.gif )

QUOTE(NightShadow @ Apr 27 2010, 10:16 AM)
thanks for the info dovienya. guess i wasn't ripped off after all.

for your problem i can only guess that maybe variable temperature has something to do with the squeaking. other than that maybe you had your sound system turned down yesterday. heh

hey guys i just got my maybank loan statement thing today. but in it, it does not indicate into which account i should bank in my monthly payments to. am i supposed to go to the bank myself? i was hoping i could just bank in the payment online.

normally the faulty part is the battery.. 150$ to replace battery (price is 2year ago).
but if the main circuit is faulty, then gg.com whistling.gif (cheaper to just buy a different alarm system)
