to check leakages, put a piece of large cardboard below your car overnight. the next morning, take out the cardboard, c if there's any liquid/oil on the piece of cardboard, and if yes, locate the place of leakage.

Need some help  here guys,I'm having problem with my gen2 auto 1.6 year 2004 after accident 4years ago and its getting worse.
For average of RM50=24+ Lilter of petrol, i only able to go up to 150-160KM.Is there anyone know what the possible problem causes this terrible FC.
Hope can get some help or recommendation from here.Thanks.
*
during accident what happen? what did they change for u...sometime its the catalytic converter building up thick carbon deposits thus makes it hard for the exhaust flow to exit the engine chamber...considering its a 2004 car and has been running for 6 years...

u check the engine check light at which workshop? did they check the error code properly or they just simply say 'oo tis one ah u got poblem wit ur brake oh...kena tuka maa...'

to get the error code u need to have a reliable diagnostic tools and proton use PDT/PADT...some other tools can also detect some simple code but with some restrictions...

so my advice would be go to proton sc, ask them to check the error code and get advise on what is the cause properly...and ask them what to change n then if u dowanna do there just bring it to ur trusted workshop n get it fix la...

Front radiator leak and i also forgot what else, that time kena hamburger.
Catalytic converter, brother of friend of mine also mention that.I plan to change that by next month also.Normally how much it cost for a new CAT converter?Any recommended brand/model/shop?
Since i'm going to change it anyway, from i read at other forum, some of them just remove the CAT converter and replace that parts with something?
Is is make any differences?Need your opinion in this.
Any other possible causes that can cause this terrible FC?Thanks in advance for any helps.

Just unplug ur Negative wires from battery terminal and leave the car like 30minutes and then plug again.Turn on but don't crank yet.Wind down ur power windows and wind up again.Start the engine and voila.

fuse box located at engine bay.. its the black box nearby the battery..
just open up and by referring to the inside of the cover, just pull out fuse designated for ecu
