hi guys. recently i just bought auto pet feeder for my beloved cat. something like this but the food part got container..
user posted image
so anyway my concern is my cat doesnt want to drink thru the bottle.. how can i make her drink from that bottle? hmm.gif

wah the feeder looks awesome! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif can replace with a bottle that can flow to the container at the bottom not? i think that's more practical. saw a type with a 1L bottle.

cats usually don't like to have their water next to the food, but some are ok with it.

thanks for info biggrin.gif

I dont think that is an auto feeder in the first place.
An auto feeder has a container where you can put the food in and it will slowly come down once the food in the bowl is finishing. This looks like a normal pet bowl only the difference it has a water bottle attached to it.
[/quote]

agreed. normal auto feeder is like this http://www.antonline.com/p_FT13TB-NX_606655.htm?sID=NX
some types are very fancy (ie. expensive) and can be programmed to release food at certain time http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pg...m_content=38126

Guys I need to knw wats the cheapest cat food and wats the price? Hw bout whiskas 3kg hw much is tat bag?

I need to find cat food less then rm6 per kg.I knw if buy large quantity much cheaper but the biggest bag I wud get is 5kg +-...

Help is very appreciated.

whiskas, friskies, tesco, and most other brands found in supermarkets are very terrible brands. they contain very little meat and lots of grain and corn as fillers. so you'll basically be feeding your cats corn and rice biscuits.

some better choices would be iams, blackwood, ANF, sportsmans pride, nutriedge. Science diet is ok, but actually not very good either (for the price, you might as well get something else better).

most importantly, look at the ingredients. Meat (chicken, lamb etc) should be the first ingredient on the list, meaning that it is the highest amount. it's even better if you avoid by-products(guts, diseased animals, feet, unwanted organs) and non-specific meat(it could be anything- even dogs/cats put to sleep, yes I'm serious).

sorry that I can't provide you with much price info. CutiePie is selling ANF and blackwood. my cats are currently on ANF which I bought at rm50+ for 3kg.

it'll be difficult to find a good quality cat food at below rm6/kg, but remember that higher quality food means more nutrition, which means you can feed less.

bought silvervine from daiso and surprise surprise, my cat she's not even distracted by it.    cry.gif  has anyone experience the same? it says on the box some cats may not react to it depending on the age. some videos ive seen on youtube are even kittens. Sookie is 8months old ady.. will catnip have effects on her perhaps?

she's more attracted to the plant i brought home instead. doh.gif Here's a picture of her being all curious.

well that's too bad..every cat is different and some don't react to catnip or silvervine, regardless of age. you could try again later.

and what type of plant is that? some plants are toxic to cats if they eat it. there are lists of toxic plants which you can find online

Verulin, if you compare the cat food in Tesco e.g. Tesco brand, Whiskas, Frieskies I think the BW I am selling at RM9.20 is still the cheapest  tongue.gif  as for 1kg frieskies is around RM12.00 something or even higher.

Just my two cents. icon_rolleyes.gif
*
eh? I see.... but whiskas is very cheap right? I'm not very sure. never really bothered to check those brands

QUOTE(dearmissazy @ Sep 29 2011, 05:04 PM)
my cat loves RC kitten. but just this month i changed to RC adult fit 32 (as consulted) and seems like she eats less compared to when i feed her with Smartheart adult. Had to finish the smartheart first cos bought it during the Raya break as most shops are closed. cant get RC on short notice.  cry.gif
hated smartheart cos poop smelly and she keeps eating non stop. guess its due to the corn by-products in the the ingredient.  RC is definitely good for persian. my mom's cats been on RC for years and fur so nice!  not so sure about RC for DSH or other breeds tho. my cat (DSH prolly mix other breed) is still on her 1st week of RC adult and so far ok. only eat less (could be due to the high meat content, rather than the corn and stuff).

want to try BW next since saw so many good reviews. RC is a bit too expensive..  sweat.gif
*
smartheart is very terrible food. the meat content is reeeaaallly low so that means lower nutritive value, which means your cat needs to eat more of it. RC is better and has higher nutrition so it's normal for your cat to eat less of it

does boiled fish & chicken meat categorize as raw meat, coz that what i feed my kittens.as their main food.
*
lol raw means uncooked. cooking destroys most of the nutrients in food. if it's their main food, raw is better.

tried posting on petfinder too?

don't worry about the blind eye. as long as it doesn't cause other health problems it's fine. my other cat Tiger is blind and he's fine with that

better feed premium kind of food compare to raw food if not have proper time and knowledge to spend. unless u work with cat then u have time for it. just my opinion though
*
agree with that too. I can't feed my cats on only raw food cz no time and it's messy. so I just replace their dry food with raw meat every few days.

i have a very very serious situation. my sis cat, male cat age around 1 year, now he like to pee everywhere. Like marking his territory, not spraying, but pee..like sit down and pee.
My mom rage already.

Any idea how to stop this cat from pee all over the place. Does Neuter/Spay the cat help?
*
agree with cutiepie. could possibly be health problems. either way, it's best to check with a vet.

I dont think it is due to illness..he is perfectly healthy, according to vet. this cat is running around the house like looking for something/some"one". When he hear the other cat meowing outside the house, he start acting weird and pee all over. added info, this cat is toilet trained. Never used litter box before.
*
then it's probably the cat(s) outside stressing him out. try placing cat repellents in the garden?
