hi, i've never posted here but i've been following the thread closely since I love cats.. i'm writing just to share my experience.. yesterday i sent my dearie kitty for bathing around 12.30pm at the Purple Paw Pet House, Kuching since I don't have time to do so myself.. I couldn't believe my ears when they called me around 2.30pm and said that my kitty ran away.. mad.gif  sad.gif  Searched for hours even until last night, but to no avail.. Will search for her again today.. I hope I can find her cos she means a lot to me..
*
damn that's a rather irresponsible place. they should know that cats can escape really easily and prepare for that. doh.gif
try putting up flyers around the area, in pet shops, vet clinics, grooming shops, on facebook

yeah, they do help me look for her.. and guess what the owner told me yesterday??? since my kitty is local, he'll replace her with another local cat and of course not persian.. an hour later he told me that he'll replace it with a persian kitty..

what he didn't understand is that i don't care if it's persian or any other expensive cat, i just want my cute local kitty back.. she's irreplaceable, full stop.

i believe i'll find her.. by hook or by crook, i will find her..

what the....damn some people are so insensitive! vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif

this discrimination towards stray cats is just like racism!
some pet owners are also like that. they have non-pedigree cats and dogs, and ask vets to give them cheaper medicine.

imagine if you walk into a clinic and the doctor gives you cheaper medicine cz you're not some kinda 'superior race' doh.gif

and actually I think stray cats tend to be healthier. they don't suffer from genetic problems common in pure breeds.

yes it is. what's important is the ingredients in the food. RC is good, but contains fillers like corn. Evo doesn't and is therefore a better diet because cats are carnivores that don't need much plant matter in their diet.

try switching the new kitten to evo for a few weeks and see how it goes smile.gif

Sookie in a basket. She's special to me and a great companion. Wrecks the living room if i come home late from work tho. doh.gif How do you train them to be not so fascinated by fragile stuff/deco in the house. my flower vase nearly break, broken few candle holders ady.  cry.gif
*
use sticky-tack or blu-tack to hold fragile things down. it's like a kinda sticky plasticine
you can find it in most hardware and stationery shops like Popular

if the surface is smooth, it should be ok.
I noticed it does leave stains on walls after some time, but it doesn't ruin smooth/glossy surfaces

or try cat repellants? but I've never tried those before.

tried googling anything?

I think it's just a kinda smell that they don't like. but if placed indoors, the smell might be a bit too strong since they're sense of smell is really good

well that's what i think...never tried before lol

you're right. those are good for keeping othr cats from your compound. but i was thinking of something that maybe is less strong than a repellant.

verulin, ive tried evrything ive googled..took away the candles and pebbles and now she's on to every possible rug in the house and the vases. bought scratch post for her oso got bored.. maybe she's too bored when im at work. sad.gif
*
I've heard of some kinda spray that makes stuff taste terrible. (again, never tried that before)

or else just keep all the vases and everything else fragile, if the sticky-tack can't hold them down.
does she have a place to look out the window? that can help to entertain her.

yeah she's female and so active. like hamster at night. LOL. Nemo and Tiger never fight kah? Sookie not so friendly with my sister's cat (female) when she comes over. so dunno whether getting another cat in would be a good idea.. blink.gif
*
They do fight, but it's all just playing.
Maybe you can try getting a kitten so she won't feel so threatened. And since your sister's cat only comes over for a while, of course they won't get along so quickly. I foster cats sometimes and my boys will take almost a week to stop hissing and growling every time they see the new arrival

QUOTE(jason86 @ Oct 20 2011, 11:44 AM)
Verulin ..if compare blackwood n anf, anf is better.stick back with anf better

Oh i see, thanks for the info.
