Hey, AOC brand must manually set colour setting? or others brand too?
sorry i dont have LCD.

QUOTE(kiLLua the babap @ Aug 7 2009, 10:31 AM)
yeah...is it adjustable for your eyes or got other references?
why blue set at higher?
*
The contrast and brightness was best for my personal needs, while the RGB 38,41,63 was based on the color temp mode. I'm using "normal" in color temp, thus RGB: 38, 41, 63. They're another option called "user", that you can manually set RGB. thumbup.gif

And using HDMI input will gave more better color !

Hello faint..
since u are AOC LCD owner.
can i know any good 22inch from AOC?
Interested with height adjustment  laugh.gif
*
I have no chance to test any AOC monitor at Ipoh so I can't give any comment on AOC monitor except 2434pw. If you looking for 22" monitor with 1080 resolution, I suggest you forget about it. 1080 in 22" monitor all the object in monitor will become small, it will made you get tire easily & uncomfortable.

20"lcd which 1 is good?acer p205h or samsung 2043sw?

If can, go to nearest computer shop and test both of this monitor !

You need go see in realistic by yourself, I believe picture can't see the diff except I take a picture of both 24" and 22" LCD with 1080 resolution together.

1. AOC 2434PW
2. Samsung P2370
3. Dell S2409W
Max budget RM750+-
Thanks

I guess P2370 over your budget ady, left only AOC & Dell. I'm recommend 2434pw, you won't regret if you buy it !

Magic tune consist of few mode like sport, movie, text, DCR, internet, games..etc. All of them were come with the different brigthness & contrast that set by Samsung, it is convenience for us to switch between mode for different condition.

Hi all you gurus out there!

Sure would appreciate if someone could offer any assistance and advice.

I am trying to get a LCD monitor for some graphics work using Photoshop and Illustrator. Budget is probably up to around 750 ringgit.

I really am quite clueless about what would be needed. I had a look at the Dell site and they have this

Dell Ultrasharp 1908FP Flat Panel Monitor 19-inch Flat Panel Monitor @ RM 539.

The "Ultrasharp" bit sounds nice smile.gif  But does it make a difference?

Anyone have any good budget graphic monitor suggestions?

Many thanks!
*
I suggest Dell UltraSharpâ„¢ 2209WA 22-inch RM799, 3-inch larger. Those ultrasharp series using different panel like VA, IPS instead of TN panel. Its offer better color accuracy & view angle, this is great for the purpose that you stated above.

I used to have this worry as well as my CRT monitor burned recently. Since from threads some say that LCD optimum resolution was not good due to video card limitation.
My system is win XP, and CRT was running at 1064x768 display. After consulting few others , my input is that it depend on the existing graphic support. Mine was onboard intel display chip as my video card konked out even earlier. Since my CRT was running fine on said resolution I expect the same for the LCD.

Went to PC fair and bought an AOC F22 monitor. Decided on AOC due to its emphasis on quality (0 dead pixel warranty vs samsung 7 dead pixel).
Samsung 2243sw+ was tempting at RM578 but dont like the stand. The AOC F22 had an apple feel to it with an interesting picture frame stand which is much more stable.

Hooked up and give it a go, and to my delight, the monitor auto setup it self to find a working resolution and as expected used the 1064x768 for destop display supported by the graphic chipset. I had tried some tests including running games on different resolution and the monitor cope and changed accordingly. And for movies there is the option to set 16:9 aspect which improve screen size.

The only thing I noted of is that widescreen does stretch websites and photos native on 4:3 aspect. Believe this is a widescreen problem. (any comments to address this).

Are you using maximum resolution for your monitor ?

QUOTE(yuktsi14 @ Aug 11 2009, 11:37 AM)
is AOC a good brand?

AOC was the brand owned by the world's largest display manufacturer, this is good brand as well.

ANd my graphic on board manage 1064x768 only.
*
That why you will see all those website & photos stretched, because you're using 1024x768 resolution which is suppose for 4:3 monitor but not 16:9 monitor. If you use 1920x1080, you problem will fix.

Thanks.. was guessing it was the resolution as well..  wonder if there is a lesser 16:9 resolution to use instead of 1920x1080.
*
Yup, 1360x768 instead of 1920x1080. But that not recommended, the best is max resolution.

Hey guys, just want to know what are among the good monitors in the 23-24" size range which has HDMI+DVI input or dual DVI inputs?

As far as I know, the Samsung T240 has HDMI input but its kinda pricey. Not sure whether its worth the money unless the IQ is really good.
*
T240 already stop production, you have no way to find out unless you found old stock dude. Why don't take a look on 23.x" monitor ?! thumbup.gif

so HDMI is better than DVI right?

so a good LCD must have HDMI port or wat..(a LCD got how many port???)

kinda confuse..

Both DVI & HDMI produces the same Image Quality, but HDMI able to carry on audio signal as well. For me, the HDMI was not that useful if your monitor don't have speaker and I guess you will not use that speaker since the speaker was really shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

The marketing term nowadays on HDMI is more about marketing gimmick just like full HD.

As nowadays, most advertisement and marketing term make people taught HDMI quality > DVI, same like Full HD is screen is better/sharper than non-full HD one.

As if LCD monitor speaker is not better than ordinary speaker, then what the use of HDMI?  hmm.gif
*
I guess it will be great if manufacturer cut off the build in speaker to make the price cheaper or improve Image quality thumbup.gif
