GPS? iPods got no GPS... Exclusive to iPhone only unfortunately. Blame Apple Marketing strategy...

just bought ipod touch on saturday..really cool the new ipod touch..the most important thing of this ipod is, it have wifi built in..

You should have looked at APPLE official website for the details information.
Advertisement is meant for advertising its product, but not all the features on the phone.

dilemma..there are rumours that next year maybe the 4th gen they are gonna add in camera rite.i dont know wanna why till then or just buy the 3rd gen ones.

anyway,the bluetooth function..can we bluetooth our pictures from from HP to itouch or vice versa?

the bluetooth only for wireless headset..cannot do other things.

Yup, for the moment bluetooth is for a2dp streaming on the iPod. But there are plans for 3rd party accessories that will work through bluetooth. Imo the hardware supports file transfer but Apple does not want to release the software profile for it. Maybe if you jailbreak? Then you could probably do tethering as well? Not sure though as i've yet to jb my iPod...

how to differentiate gen2 and gen3?
i ask the salesman at apple store and he said look at the firmware if 3.0 then its 2g if its 3.1 its 3g but i dont agree with him as the firmware we can change and mine is ipod touch 2g but already using firmware 3.1, so if someone sold the ipod touch and claim it as 3g how we can check as i noe the diff is only the processor.... anyone have an idea?

guys can suggest me a good silicon case for ipod touch 2g ? im selling of my capdase silicon case and soft pouch, tired of using it planning to use silicon case after this hehe

how bout the voice control?? i think it's not available in 2G right??

Do u has ipoh touch 2g? i saw a blog state that 3g logo at background is smaller than 2g and also there only has 2 line of word.
