Well it has been said quite a number of times before, and i shall repeat it again for you, it's up to you mate. If you think the updates are good, then go ahead and fork out some cash for it smile.gif

Oh also, there are some features that you may not be able to enjoy. As far as i know, Voice Memo's and Bluetooth Audio Streaming won't work. So yea, think first smile.gif
*
Thanks for the repetition. smile.gif I think I should consider whether I should upgrade to iPod Touch 2G soon.

Um, guys, why can't I update my ipod to the latest firmware? When I clicked on the check for update it says my current FW (2.2.1) is the latest. Currently using Mallaysian iTunes account. Anybody else facing this problem? sad.gif

Does using BT headset reduces the Touch's battery life drastically?

Same problem here, it's not available in the Malaysian store yet for some reason, there was a download icon in the store for a few hours but it didn't work and they removed it =S
apparently some other regional stores also facing this problem... hopefully we'll get it soon

Also which feature are you guys using/looking forward to the most?
I can't wait to have notes sync =P

Yes, I think it does, but I haven't tested using it continuously. If I'm not mistaken, Bluetooth doesn't require much power as WiFi. So far, the audio streaming is quite smooth and clear; and I'm using non-branded BT headset.

Is there a technique or something to shake it?

hmm I guess it's good that it's a bit hard to shake, otherwise would be annoying to accidentally change the song every time you pick it up too fast
technique i would guess might be something like do a 180 sweep back and forth from landscape to portrait to landscape? or maybe got some sweet spot angle where it works best... quite curious to know now =D

I don't see the what's problem with the "shake to shuffle" function. I mean, it was requested by many, and many were moaning at the fact that such an advanced iPod can't perform a simple shake to shuffle function where some SE phones etc are capable of doing it. Now that it's implemented, I'm sure it'll feel like a much better iPod to play with. Be happy with the updates la! By the way, i play Tap Tap a LOT, therefore i don't think the shake feature would cause any problems to me once i've updated my firmware tongue.gif

I'm sure you're saying so because iPhone users can get the update for free, but hey, on the positive note, you'll get fresh new functions, and you'll love your iPod Touch more that you already do. smile.gif

Practice makes perfect, if you know what i mean. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, I've been itching to upgrade to 3.0, but i still cant find a gift card seller. Closest i got was skalominia, who quoted me RM100 for $50 US store credit. Did a little digging, he has his own site (easily faked), and his lowyat thread has been closed recently pending investigation. PM-ed the staff who closed his thread, he/she just gave me a simple buy at your own risk reply. Anyone who transacted with this fella for gift card before (not paypal or whatever currency) ?
