unlock use redsn0w rite? jb use blackrain?

if you do read the first page, there is no unlock for baseband 5.12.01 as of now.

because the baseband 5.12, blacksnow doesn't work to unlock it.

Hey guys and all the pros out dere... I may want to seek for guidance thou i might in wrong session..

I wan to restore my phone back to 3.1.2.. Currently using 3gs 3.1.2 baseband 5.11.07. But due to Apple not signing 3.1.2 anymore.. so we cant restore to dat version unless we save the 3.1.2 ECID SHSH file on saurik server... rite?

However, MY CYDIA at the 1st page above the "WELCOME TO CYDIA" shown that:
"this device has SHSHs on file for iPhone OS: 3.1.3"

Which is the reason i think i cant restore back to 3.1.2 cuz my ECID SHSHs obtain is 3.1.3... So... what CAN I DO NOW TO RESTORE TO 3.1.2???

Since you guys mention dat my current baseband is JBable and unlockable... should i upgrade it??? any idea?????

yes, only if your 3.1.3 is a custom one (without baseband update).

dun really understand... but baseband means the official update by itunes?

use pwnedge for Mac or use sn0wbreeze for windows to create custom FW.

but i reckon if u donbt know a thing about this, just hold the JB thingie for a while..... or ask someone who really knows to do this.... dont want to end up as an expensive ipod touch lol!

try to google around for custom firmwares built with PwnageTool which is on 3.1.3 but retains your current unlockable baseband (eg. 4.26.08).

that's the only solution for locked set users who wanted to be on the latest version of firmware but still wanted to stay unlocked.
