Hi,

Can anyone please tell me how to unlock & jailbreak my iPhone 3G (LOCKED) using ultrasnow. I can't find the ultrasnow download link and the guide for unlocking. I followed the links on various pages but still diverted to this thread 1st page where how to unlock using blacksnow procedure is mentioned.

I'm presently on 2.1 and would like to upgrade to 3.1.2 or even 3.1. Can anyone please give me a hint? I did my homework but still confused bcoz I don't want to update using blacksnow as it says, i can't reboot or shutdown my iphone after using blacksnow/blackrain.

Is it not possible using redsnow?

My baseband version is 02.11.07. Shall I upgrade the firmware using itunes to 3.1 or 3.1.2 before using ultranow or anything else?

Added on April 16, 2010, 1:30 amI installed firmware 3.1.2, downloaded blackrain from http://www.blackra1n.com/ and ran it. But the file is corrupted as nothing happens after i run it. iPhone doesn't restart and no icon on springboard. Same error as darkmage12 above.

Any suggestions please? Thanks.

try use redsnow 0.9.3 u can jb just select the 3.1.2fw....then the rest follow the instructions in the software u should have a jailbroken 3.1.3fw
this can only be done if its an official unlock set like ur aunts iphone...if u do hav any questions feel free to pm me..

you might want to go through the whole process again or another alternative would be sourcing for custom firmwares off the web, which i what i always do. custom ie. pre-jailbroken firmwares. just restore with the custom firmware via iTunes and you're good to go.

Thank for replying. I managed to solve this by using another computer. May be it was a computer specific issue. Everything went fine on my other notebook and i was able to jailbreak and unlock it. Thanks again.

I just get a iphone 3GS from Australia. The phone is lock (as usual) but I cant find the unlock. The version is 3.1.3 and firmware is 05.12.01.
Anyone can help? Do I need to downgrade or anything to unlock and jailbreak the iphone?

sorry bro for the moment there are no unlock for 3.1.3.....
but if the iphone has been jb b4 and has shsh file stored at cydia server then u might have a chance to downgrade to 3.1.2...

iPhone 3gs can't be jailbreaked atm. Best that you wait timm vet 3.2 is out 4.0

Even Blackra1n also cannot unlock? How I know the iphone has been JB before? Can check in the phone?

yup even blackra1n oso cannot....sorry need to wait til the next exploit will come out.

Too bad then I can only use the iphone as ipod only.... the new phone even dun have game inside.

but there ways to unlock it officially..you need to bring down to aus...then over there will do the unlock for official...dont need to jail break.or blacksnow...

Hi, before this ur phone can only make emergency calls right? Even with a sim inside it cannot unlock the phone correct? The message at the slide unlock place shows Please insert a no Pin lock sim to activate iphone? Something like that?

Anyone know about the downgrade iphone 3GS with 3.1.3 firmware?
i found a method how to downgrade the iphone..
but dont know how far does it works.
never try it.

Step #1 Extract the archive iRecovery and bring the application on your Desktop.

Step #2 Install “libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.12.1.exe” and keep the file on the desktop.

Step #3 Connect your iPhone via USB and put it in DFU mode (hold down the button “Power” and “Home” for 10 seconds then release).

Step #4 Restore and manually load firmware 3.1.3 (by pressing Shift + Restore and select the firmware you downloaded previously).

Step #5 Towards the end of recovery, the procedure will stop and return the iTunes error 1015. Neglect it.

Step #6 Click OK on the pop-up, Close iTunes and run the console by typing the following commands:
cd Desktop (or folder where you copied iRecovery)
iRecovery.exe-s
setenv auto-boot true
saveenv
fsboot
exit
Step #7 Unplug the iPhone from your computer and restart it by pressing the Power and Home until the Apple logo appears. Once turned on, connect to your computer, activate it and use it normally.

these steps are for 3gs old bootrom only and also for those who have saved thier ECID at cydia.

so u mean save to SHSH to saurik?
