kinetic scrolling is application based, application like Opera browser have kinetic scrolling works on both 5530 and 5800.. until Nokia has a firmware update it software to support kinetic on 5800, we can still enjoy other application that support kinetic scrolling..

guys, what video converter do you use to convert avi files to mp4 for the phone?
i tried using the zune converter (as stated in the 5800 thread) but it says cannot read file in the phone. why?

U shd try iPodRobot iPod Video Converter here and set following:

Profile
Target device = iPod Video 2
Profile = high quality

Video Setting
Video codec = MPEG4
Video size can either choose 640x480 or 640x360
(640x480 need to zoom when view)
Keep aspect ratio
Bitrate can set to 1500, but if u got a lot of space or need higher quality, set to highest
Frame rate = 24

Audio Setting
Audio codec = AAC
Channel = Stereo
Bitrate can set to 128 or higher (will affect file size)
Sample rate = 48000

I just bought this phone 2 days ago and happy with it. Sub RM1K phone with kenetic scrolling so satisfied with the phone.

As far as the camera goes for indoor, I am satisfy with N5530 it as I didn't expect much from it. To me the 5530 camera is comparable to SE non-cybershot phones or even better for indoors as it comes with flash. Up to date, for SE phones, the only really good camera phones that I own and satisfied with is my old reliable K750i (still working after more than 3 years) and K800i.

My W700i still working after more than 3 years too,durable~~
My only concern is the colour tone of camera of 5530....i'm not sure whether it's because of the settings but i couldn't take good shots when the surroundings is dim.

You should check the video size. If it's bigger than 360 x 640, then the phone can't play the file although the format is correct.
Hmm...you sure can play 480 X 640 videos too?

640x480 or 640x360 can play on both 5800 n 5530, tested

im using Any Video Converter...choose m-peg (mp4) format...

i converted some episodes of 'two and a half men' and 'the big bang theory' just to watch when im bored on the go heh.
I dont mind uploading the mp4 versions - but how ah? cos its like 200mb each episode lol

another thing - whats the battery life like on the 5530???
I charged the fone at night - then next whole day for about 3 hours of wifi, videos and songs + sms whole day - by night time my battery left one bar only...

Today i full charge last night and today very few sms - some calls - little music.... half the battery gone edi...

why the battery life so bad ah

Red on black is better, although I have to admit, still just a little bit girly. Womanly I might add, think "Prada".

Just got my NK5530 white and blue yesterday, fully charged. Wait and c how its going. Anyway, is a beutiful phone.
