hmm that belgian dude moussa dembele looks interesting. wonder if we're really negotiating with az alkmaar. wiki lists his positions as striker,winger and attacking midfielder..u can't beat that for versatility it seems every other player we're linked with, either chelsea will deny making a bid or an agent declares no one has made any offers. wow..even i'm not sure who we're going for this time...for all we know we'll end up with pato!

I prefer we buy the player that is less known just like Drogba before he comes to Chelsea.

at first i thought wilkins was not much of help during scolari's time in chelsea, that might be true as scolari had his own assistants and wilkins was usually in charge of taking on the media. but when hiddink took over, it shows how much wilkins has contributed to our champions league play, premier league spot and fa cup win.

regarding the news about maldini joining the backroom staff, i notice that his ENGLISH is good! that might be good for carlo and chelsea.

Do you actually know why Wilkins was like 'doing nothing' under Big Phil's reign? It's is because he is being discarded in favour of Big Phil's trusty assistant of so many years, Flavio Teixeira. The hiring of Wilkins is purely as a PR guy for Chelsea. We all know Big Phil can't speak English for nuts, so he rely 100% on Wilkins to do the talking during post match conferences most of all the time. And Big Phil has never ever included Wilkins in his tactics discussion so how can he do anything if your own boss decided to ignore you?

have faith. season hasn't even started yet..his club experience will be vital. it would be sad to see riccy go, but as always there comes a time when injuries catch up to a player and his chances of starting (with alex and ivanovic in front of him) will be significantly lower in the coming season.
this will affect his future and rejoining jose at inter might be a sensible solution for all parties. johnson? he wasn't good enough for chelsea then and i doubt he's good enough now. bosingwa is much better.

bidding war with city? remember what happened the last time that took place? by the time it ends, they would've probably made a bid in excess of 40 million pounds. unless we're getting involved primarily to annoy them and jack up the price, no thanks!

CHELSEA STATEMENT ON SUNDAY TIMES APOLOGY

The following statement has been released by Chelsea Football Club on behalf of Roman Abramovich and the club with regard to an apology published today by The Sunday Times. The statement says:

The Sunday Times has today (Sunday, June 14) unreservedly apologised on page 2 of their newspaper to Roman Abramovich and Chelsea FC regarding allegations that they published on January 18, 2009.
The Sunday Times had claimed on Page 1 of that days' edition of the newspaper that despite Roman Abramovich and Chelsea's clear public denials to the contrary, and despite having been told of the denials several times before publication, that in fact Mr Abramovich was trying to sell his interest in Chelsea.
Legal proceedings for defamation were immediately commenced against the publishers of The Sunday Times as a result of the publication of the story. The Sunday Times now accepts that its allegations were untrue.
We wish to make it clear that neither the wording nor the positioning of the apology were agreed with either Roman Abramovich or Chelsea before publication today.

An application will now be made in the High Court for a Judge to assess the amount of damages and legal costs to be paid by The Sunday Times to both Roman Abramovich and Chelsea for publishing the defamatory comments and for their subsequent actions.

take that sunday times! see if u dare publish any bullsh*t about us in the future..i think we've been lenient to A LOT of tabloids in the past, and i hope we sue them for everything their worth! tabloids who have huge fanboys of other clubs and can't write from a neutral/sensible perspective should quit their jobs. just concentrate on being a hateful fan cos obviously that's the only thing they're good at. printing an apology right after they've cooked up dirt for all the world to read doesn't suddenly make everything okay. u know they're going to be on our case again in the near future. a strong and firm stance has to be taken. hence this will be a good warning to the other tabloids who are all too keen to drag us down.
it looks like our transfer budget might be given a boost for the new season. let's hope its a huge one.

and even if it isn't, i'm mighty glad we've decided to take action!

Wait my bad, it indeed starts on July 1st. So those clubs are just ironing the deals which will only commence officially on July 1st.

The forum is just a platform for the supporters club to give the latest updates on Chelsea news and upcoming activities i.e. live screenings. Trips to Stamford Bridge have been organised before in fact. The latest one being one month ago.

for right back i think chelsea should consider Davide Santon from inter.. only 18yo.. can play both side.. should be a great back up.. maybe they can work something up with Deco and Riccy going the other way..
Balotelli the striker from inter is quite good also.. still young..
Giovinco, A.Young, Zhirkov, Hinguain, Silva, Bojan Krkic, Aissati, Di Maria.. there are a lot more out there..
