Surprised that no one talks about the UCL draw? smile.gif

Top seeds: Barcelona (Spa) UEFA co-efficient 121.9, Chelsea (Eng) 118.9, Liverpool (Eng) 118.9, Man Utd (Eng) 111.9, AC Milan (Ita) 110.6, Arsenal (Eng) 106.9, Sevilla (Spa) 100.9, Bayern Munich (Ger) 98.3.

Second seeds: Lyon (Fra) 91.0, Inter Milan (Ita) 87.6, Real Madrid (Spa) 78.9, CSKA Moscow (Rus) 71.5, Porto (Por) 68.3, AZ Alkmaar (Hol) 64.8, Juventus (Ita) 63.5, Rangers (Sco) 56.6.

Third seeds: Olympiakos (Gre) 52.6, Marseille (Fra) 48.0, Dinamo Kiev (Ukr) 46.4, Stuttgart (Ger) 45.3, Fiorentina (Ita) 42.6, Atletico Madrid (Spa) 41.9, Bordeaux (Fra) 40.0, Besiktas (Tur) 32.4.

Fourth seeds: Wolfsburg (Ger) 21.3, Standard Liege (Bel) 21.1, Maccabi Haifa (Isr) 17.1, FC Zurich (Swi) 14.1, Rubin Kazan (Rus) 9.5, Unirea Urziceni (Rom) 8.8, APOEL Nicosia (Cyp) 4.0, Debreceni (Hun) 1.633.

From what I can understand, we may just draw some heavy-weights in the 2nd group, take your pick from Juve, Lyon, Inter, and some other top teams from the other 2 groups like Marseille, Atletico Madrid, etc.

i saw these on soccernet or some website but i do not really understand it. how did ac milan get into the top seed. they didnt win the scudetto last season? they werent playing in champions league last season? and sevilla? please explain if anyone knows. notworthy.gif

8 groups eh? 1 team from each seed for each group?

well, hopefully we get to draw against easier teams before we face the tougher opponents in the knock out rounds!

lets see which would be my pick.

Chelsea, Rangers, Bordeaux, Debreceni ?! lol.

Yes one team from each seeded pot. No teams from the same country can face each other during the group stages.

Co-efficients are calculated from european standings over a number of years, i.e. status/results/progress in european competitions such as UCL, UEFA, etc.

I fancy a meeting with Unirea Urziceni. Reunion with our super Dan 'Pet Rescue' Petrescu!

Unirea Urziceni yap...the manager was a blues Dan 'Pet Rescue' Petrescu..famous among the fans back then...and he played before i even a fan i think...but i think i know him because he named his daughter Chelsea!

I think Drogba gonna rest..and Nicolas and Sheva will start...

I think we ready with the draw...any team..we must face it now or then..still the same...our aim is the trophy...

Maybe the worst possible is Chelsea + Real Madrid + Olympiakos + Wolfsburg

or Chelsea + Inter Milan + Atletico Madrid + Wolfsburg

Well, it's a cup competition after all. In order to win it, you have to beat the best no matter what route you started off with. Bring on Real, Bring on Inter!

yes. but we do not have to struggle as hard if we play against weaker teams. but then again, if we do beat the bigger teams, we can striker fear into our coming opponents! hmmm, choices choices.

whats with the mentality of wanting to play weaker team? cmon bring it on. i want chelsea to compete against the very best , not play against weaker team , and then celebrate like hell when we win. whats to celebrate conquering weaker teams ? in this champ league , even the lesser team can beat a bigger team.

looks like we're getting a closer look at kun aguero laugh.gif haih arsenal and utd have had super easy draws so far. 2 good reasons we shouldn't be looking forward to getting the strongest teams in our group: drogba and bosingwa. they're going to serve bans. have u guys forgotten?
