Hi all, can I join? I just got Xtreamer a few days ago Actually already POHD owner for 2 weeks. Now got both but soon one of them going to my mother-in-law.

Here's something I notice, if you put in a HD formatted on a POHD into the Xtreamer, the Xtreamer is unable to use or format it. Have to go to a PC and remove the POHD partitions first.

@hdwarexpert sorry I didn't get from you. If only you can accept credit card, I would have.

It is ok as long as you are one of Xtreamer supporter. Myself is very satisfied with this unit. Etrayz will be in most probably next week.

Here is something for sharing, extracted from Xtreamer forum by the admin.

'We would like to clarify something for those of you who do not follow our forum closely and might worry that we have abandoned our product development.

1. Xtreamer

As you know our player is based on a Realtek chipset and quite recently they released a new SDK. What does that mean for the Xtreamer project? Well, it will be a major step in the Xtreamer media player development. You will see new bug fixes and new features.
Hopefully this blog entry will give you a little idea what to expect - blog.php/?p=318

As I said this is a major update and the development will take several weeks.
There will also be beta releases.

2. e-TRAYz

We are planning to release a beta of the new eTRAYz firmware in a few days. If the beta-testers won't find any major red flags you will see the new version next week.

New SDK is very good news. Hopefully they will come out and implement really good features.

Heard they are introducing movie jukebox in coming release. Hope it comes fast.....

can xtreamer connect directly to external dvd writer?
if can...i want buy external dvd rom

IT can connect via USB, however you must check at forum.xtreamer.net for list of supported DVD ROM.

anyone here already try dvd rom with this extreamer?

Guys, Lets say my source file downloaded from internet is not 1080 or 720. Will xtreamer automatic upscale to 720 or 1080 ?

This player support HDMI to DVI. No problem.

it should upscale to what ever resolution output you set it..

Upscale but does not mean the PQ will be as good as 720p. I just tested Upconverting DVD to 720p using software & there's a dramatic improvement over the original. So if the source really don't have HD best alternative is to Upconvert in PC 1st.

Upscale means upscale.. no one said upscale SD means same as 720p or FULLHD wor?

Just managed to touch for the first time, new product eTRAYz....finally has reached my hand.

It is small in size but very solid feel. Beta firmware 1.0.1 has been released to Xtreamer beta tester recently.

Extracted from Xtreamer blog:

The latest BETA v1.0.1 for the e-TRAYz has now been tested for 3 days. Some useful configuration changes have been made to the system, some core stuff been added giving you more freedom / less sweat to install web services.

Give it some more time (can’t tell you how long yet though). This BETA is another brick in the wall for the next PUBLIC e-TRAYz software which will be released later and have more real stuff added.
