notice the heat is not that bad when playing the box but when transferring to the box its heats up....

Have you tried using your Xtreamer USB wifi with your PC? tried that with my MS Vista but no luck. Not able to connect even discover the network..working fine with my media player..

I tried also and not working on my Win7. Looks like we need to download the realtek driver for this dongle.

i have no issue using it with my 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate....

i slot in 2 1.5TB Samsung F2 still no hear the sound. Maybe u need to scandisk the HDD. maybe got bad sector etc. that tick tick something like early warning of HDD going kaput i think...

Thats the first driver i had try..maybe issue with Vista..mind to share your wireless router model..I am using Linksys WAG120N with mixed mode..not sure if this can cause the issue..

hmm....thats weird coz mine is working perfectly. plus my win 7 is from jack sparrow....play around with the setting...

also does this dongle working in your xtreamer? if yes then it should work if not maybe the dongle itself is kaput

yah its working fine with the player..

i'm using Linksys...WRT54G

set my router to G mode only with WPA2 and AES encryption channel 11. IP is running on DHCP.

dont worry in Xtreamer just use WPA setting....it should work...

Tick tick sound means the HDD is giving tick of death...

He should backup whatever items inside and send the disk for warranty asap i guess.

That was original setting but changed to mixed mode for testing only..might need to reformat my PC with Win 7 then..

what OS are u using? have u tried installing the dongle with other pc or laptop? try that first prior to formating your pc.

i am using Vista currently..

u must download the correct driver in order to work using pc

yap, downloaded from Realtek and Xtreamer site..both drivers not working

PC prob already i guess. Try removing uninstall all wireless network adapters, reboot pc, and then install drivers first before plucking in the dongle into PC.

S@#t man , the problem now is the sound gone when playing movie files... i need to transfer file to confirm if the ticking sound still there or not... if now if i bring back to the shop, they sure say no problem with it...

Just now try the youtube function and got massage "CANNOT PLAY THE MEDIA" other function internet TV, radio, movie all working fine....
Anyone facing the same problem? Don't think its the internet problem cos i'm on HSBB...

Now bz reading xtreamer official forum on jukebox etc....

For Extreamer Live, CAP (the developer) acknowledge that a lot of the content provider is currently down and hes working on a fix. actually those content provider are changing their setting and CAP trying to figure out how to get it back. He promise the content should be accessible during firmware 2.4.0 official

as for Youtube i have no issue playing. the only problem u cannot select HD youtube content. it will play default means lower quality youtube clips.

btw bro what model is your sammy HDD? is't F2 or F3 model?
