if you don't carry passenger that often, 200 rear should be ok.am just kidding abt the square thg. that was the a.drive pattern that easily differentiate it with others just by looking at the tires itself.
Tire discussion thread V1~, come in n discuse about tires~

QUOTE(jolipoli81 @ Mar 6 2010, 12:03 PM) new shoes for your waja? which maker? optimum should be around 36 - 38 psi. with 1 psi lower at the back if you seldom carry weight. you need to keep the rubber as close to the rim as possible for better cornering and less rolling resistance @michael9413@ don't forget to pose a pic of the ps3. are they available in 205/55/r15? |

@jolipoli81@
huh! my friend's mini of same size is running on 36 psi. so does the upgraded tires of Is200 i used to drive a month back. most of my friend(local and oversea) running higher than 34psi btw. 30psi is definitely too low but 34psi should be fine. and make sure you check the tire pressure when the tire is still cold. from my experience, lower than 33psi on 17" with low profile tires will caused more rolling resistance thus increase the car's fc. the closer the rubber to the rims, the better the car handles in corner... tested this in karak hundreds of times @Apis_LuaLua@ new tires need a run in. after the tires cover about 500km or so, then the true potential can be seen. i used re001 before and it's quite noisy too. perhaps, due to the tread design. |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 8 2010, 09:04 PM) @jolipoli81@ but for our hot climate country, i guess 33 or 34psi should be good enough during daylight due to the heat of the road that could expand our tyres, do you agree?huh! my friend's mini of same size is running on 36 psi. so does the upgraded tires of Is200 i used to drive a month back. most of my friend(local and oversea) running higher than 34psi btw. 30psi is definitely too low but 34psi should be fine. and make sure you check the tire pressure when the tire is still cold. from my experience, lower than 33psi on 17" with low profile tires will caused more rolling resistance thus increase the car's fc. the closer the rubber to the rims, the better the car handles in corner... tested this in karak hundreds of times @Apis_LuaLua@ new tires need a run in. after the tires cover about 500km or so, then the true potential can be seen. i used re001 before and it's quite noisy too. perhaps, due to the tread design. i remember the boss did tell me to pump lower pressure if i'm travelling back on highway, say from kl - penang, like 2psi lower. |

haha... lower pressure means higher FC.. when u ask a F1 driver to do best FC drive they will pump the tire to higher PSI... lower PSI will give you the comfort... but it might cause otehr problem like uneven wear and loose of handling feel at high speed maneuver, the last is increase rolling resistance...
fren even my Vios with 195/55 R15 Hankook Evo V12 (or last time Michelin PP2) also i pump 34 PSI front and 32 PSI rear... 30 PSI is definitely too low... my 1.3 tonne Old Toy 36 PSI front and 32 PSI rear... that is a cold temperature (recommended by car manufacture) means u should not travel more than 1km to the nearest petrol kiosk... if more than that add another 1~2 PSI... that is what recommended by Michelin and others Manufacture also... tire air pressure will increase around 1~4 PSI during hot but not until 5~10 PSI...
