Ed, 50 series tyres is damn noisy. That Falken is actually in my consideration as well, but the shop (which is a friend's) recommend A drive (which is in my option) instead. I was looking at 195/55/15 tyres.

some random shop quote me 3xx/pc for 15" PP2  wink.gif

pp2 got so expensive for 195/55-15? ? hmm.gif hmm.gif

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jun 11 2009, 01:29 PM)
but the shop i talk to say between 195/50 and 195/55 not much of a difference.
afterall the thickness is only 9.75mm difference...plus i can always turn up my ICE tongue.gif
also i was thinking 185/55/15 just to maintain within the 3% rule...but that one for falken they say must special order from japan.
*

indeed 185/55-15 for tat model a bit special~ smile.gif

I tried both series b4 , it seems that in 55, the noise level is cut down drastically. But the 50 series i'm using sime la tongue.gif Maybe its the brand problem biggrin.gif

@Everdying
check the price for Hankook V8RS....currently using it and so far im impressed with it's dry performance (havent been able to test in the wet yet)
used to use the older Ziex model (ZE326 i think) and i wasnt too impressed with it performance wise,  but for normal usage, theyre pretty decent.....

performance wise for falken, id rather stick with the Azenis line.

V8RS is old model isn't it... now new model is evo V12

PP2 for 195/55 R15 is less than RM250 only... if you are looking for that size... y not try out Hankook V12...
I changed from PP2 to V12... feel softer side wall hence more comfort drive also...
is just like Handling PP2 better...
but in terms of comfort is V12 better...
traction both also very good indeed

currently im on xm1 13" la...so looking for replacement soon...
wanna change to 15" also...and since xm1 15" is got no 50 or 55 series...have to look elsewhere...
for 195/50 my choice came down to PP2 (RM200) or 912 (RM180)...
probably go for the 912...since eneos gives free balancing / metal valve etc...the PP2 shop (MW tyre) must pay for those extras...somemore ask me to pay for the nuts too.

yeah the older model is V8RS (which isnt really that old anyway) and the new one is V12 EVO....

but read his post... the V12 is definitely gonna be above his budget and he doesnt seem to be looking for high performance tires. just good tires that performs well enough for daily use...

im actually surprised that the V12 is that cheap...

my V8 165/50/15 is RM169 in sunway.. so i was expecting the bigger V8 195/55/15 to be around the 180-200 region...and V12 of the same size to be more than 200...

now if only they start having the V12 in my size...was actually looking for it before i accepted the fact that they dont make it in that size and settled for the V8 instead.

n the V8 is still a damn good tire though

comment on wat???

Potenza i haven use b4...
i only can say Michelin PP2 is a good tire on Hydroplanning and Handling...good braking performance also...
ride comfort suffer a bit as the side wall is a lil on hard side... traction also good on dry n wet...
whereas the Hankook V12 is on comfort side which the handling not as good as PP2 in high speed...
traction on both dry n wet also comparable to PP2, so as the braking...

To all tyres sifus,

Any recommended tyres for Vanette C22? Van drivers needs safety too. So far I'm seeing thread for passenger cars only. Normal van size is 175/70/R13.

For this size I only saw recommended XM1, A Drive & CC-1 being the most popular. But are they suitable for van drivers too? Please enlighten us all.
