I believe your tires not hit the fenders,
it hit the inner splash shield cover, especially behind one,
try check the edge of the splash shield cover, you will notice something like this :

depends wat model u plan to get~
if u get tat from japan n i believe u can't get it below 6month due to shippment+kastam~
as for michelin , u can get it below 3months for common tires n other than tat will b old stock
if odd size then will b ard 6month-1yr from manufacturing date~

not sure about the price but the tires is not too bad for it's price. slightly better than similar offering from goodyear or silverstone.
14" or 15"?

Hayy@
since you're staying in shah alam area, i suggest you head direct to meru / jalan kapar area in klang. plenty of choice.

*7*@
check out my previous reply. there is a reply regarding on the nexen's performance. short ride thou.
so, it may not do justice to the overall tires capability.

ableze_joepardy@
the newer the manufacturing stamp, the better it is. do not settled for more than 12 months old new tires.
even more if it was not properly stored. more or less, heat and cold may already affect the tires material.
as mentioned by rascal_stitch, michellin offering usually less than 3 months old!

d01 only comes in 15".
you can't go wrong with either xm1 or a.drive. just a matter of budget with xm1 offer a slightly more comfortable and quieter ride.

arshad@
to purists, there is no such thing as budget tires on 18". if you could afford an 18" wheels, why not the tires?
and what car were you driving? 225/40 on 18" wheels is too ol' skool'. 18" wheels should be at least of 235 / 245 width brows.gif
having said that, either falken range, toyo, kumho or hankook should be in your list.
else, nankang or achilles for less budget with even lesser grip. buy at your own risk smile.gif

would a lancer accept a 235 width tires? i've seen quite a few with 18" offset wheels too brows.gif
btw, if you want something cheaper with decent performance, hankook ventus is worth looking at. as usual,. directional tread tires tend to be
noisier thou.
