^Same here, currently in Kuching,SWK..line is connected but getting into some site pretty slow and also get very2 lag in online games

Unifi very slow now. TTDI, KL.

Same here in Kampong Pandan, KL but using Streamyx 1MB.

TM sucks. Just called them, their auto message told that they had a problem and restoration is still in progress. No wonder the speed is so inconsistent.

Hopeless 1 Malaysia improvement plan.

My Unifi speed now is back to normal.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that our consortium members have detected a cable cut on South East Asia–Middle East–Western Europe 4 (SEA-ME-WE 4 or SMW4) submarine cable network between Marseille (France) and Palermo (Italy) near Alexandria (Egypt). We are currently working with the consortium in carrying out immediate restoration works which are expected to be completed by middle of April 2013 tentatively.


In the meantime, we have taken pro-active steps to reduce the effect of this incident by optimising our networks to reduce congestion to ensure our customers are the least affected by this incident.

However, despite these initiatives, customers using Internet nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation during this exercise.

Internet users may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing international websites mainly hosted in Europe. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to Europe may also experience some level of service degradation.

Connection to US is highly degraded right now (Unifi, Setapak Area). They probably doing some maintenance/bandwidth capping during late night.

anyone encountering slow unifi these 2 days at subang area?
i stay in ss16 occasionally has spikes and drop
but when i go to the cybercafe everything is okay
anyone else notice this?

starting this morning the modem just wouldnt connect to the internet (internet led light not lighted up). Im on streamyx.
not sure what the problem is ...

some cable underwater sea broken, so internet slow for 1 year

Did a reset on a router and modem and it's still slow


Not sure if this is because of the Europe issue but even the lowyat forums loads slowly for me.. Sigh.

Unifi vip5 user here. I have been experiencing slow browsing for about 4 days already. Take >one minute to load a page but download speed is normal and my internet signal strength is full bars. I have done all sort of things to increase the browsing speed. Hopefully it's due to the sea cable problem.

When are they done fixing the sea cable? It's already mid of April now.

Reporting from Taman Damai Impian 2, 56000 Cheras. Using Streamyx 1Mbps.

DSL light will only stay stable for a couple of minutes and will start blinking again. Then will stabilize and start blinking again. The internet indicator light never lit up.

Tried direct connection to wall socket and different sockets, phone has dial-tone, LAN light is on. Wireless connection also not working on 2 different laptops.

Anyone else having similar problems around my area?

WTH is Unifi doing during evening? My Unifi routing is crappy until I used VPN.
