well, from ur previous post u obviously have never set foot in woh fatt...so i wonder how u can give judgement.
so until u do set foot in woh fatt, u will realise that the place isnt made for lepaking.

and no one said the staff cant be friendly, me and a few others here im sure have never had problems with them.
*
but so many had complained... It cant be that they all komplot to damage Woh Fatt's reputation...

cos that will be wrong...

i doubt there are any establishments in malaysia that no one complain about before.
even the goodiest of institutions like churches also i bet got complain against each other before.

imo, those i think who kena are those who arent serious / real cheapskates and then want to bargain until squeeze the last RM out of them...typical malaysians rite?

Well I have a mix experience. I do agree the salesperson there are not the friendliest ppl around but hey if you count customers to worker ratio you know that woh fatt beats most of the music shops around KL.

I brought my guitar there once(an jackson entry level guitar) and wanted to get some parts for it. The service was slow(many ppl) then I felt kinda insulted also when the sales person kinda boldly looked down on the guitar and compared it with some epis. Well I guess its just bad PR for the ppl there.

But if you know what you're looking for(ie strings, picks) they can give you a good price. And you know that there is where you will find almost any guitar parts(cheap ones).

QUOTE
Jason Lau, 48, is the owner of a music instruments shop, Woh Fatt Music House, which has been there for about 60 years. Lau is the third generation of his family to be there. His forefathers started the business of selling second- hand items at Jalan Silang in the 1930s.

“My grandfather had a shop here in the 1930s. When my father and uncles took over the business in the 60s, they felt that the idea of opening a music instruments shop was a potential for growth and they did it in Jalan Silang itself.

“When I took over the business, I moved to this lot where I am in now. Our family business never left Jalan Silang.” Lau said many traders have come and gone over the years — less than five have continued their family businesses there. “This place here is mostly frequented by foreigners. We have our regular and loyal customers who come back to us.” He still operates old-school style, open only till 7pm and closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Just the dude with the long hair. The rest are ok. Last time I went there to get LTD EC-50 (Les Paul). So this sales girl was "serving" thumbup.gif me. I was there for about... 1 hour to test a few of the same model. For that one hour, that fella staring at me, while practicing his guitar. Think he was practicing shredding. And you know how irritating an electric guitar can get when it's not plugged in. Only reason why I never walked out empty handed was cause of that girl.

QUOTE(whatsupbro @ Oct 27 2009, 06:01 PM)
true... but us musician need a place to spend some time.... people who likes book and reading spend a lot of time at library and bookstore..

We dun have a library... we only have music shop that we can enter for free and spend our time ...

that is why a music store should be kind and friendly to their customers or potential customers...

Agreed. Took me 2 hours at Harmony Uptown to decide between 3 Epi LPs. RM2*** banyak oh for student.

Out of 20 malaysians, 18 like to ask alot of crap(I.e. How come so expensive?). Out of this 18 16 like to bargain the price. Out of this 16 , 11 of them likes to test(Could take literally hours). Out of 11 of this 10 of them will always say "Err... maybe i come back next time to buy".
And of course the remaining one will walk out of the shop with what they want.

my friend says they sell some old fenders, lol but might be just 1 or 2

woh fatt deals with the budget guitar player, tho they carry gibsons most of their guitars are no where near "branded". thus one can expect teh customer service to be meh, it slike going to target and expecting a marks and spencer
