hmmm... even though i'm the one taking the price for my own notes...
i'm not sure bout that price is for street price or gray set price... sorry bro!  unsure.gif
usually i save when someone shout the prices here.. i do hope i got it correct...
price also changing up and down last time.. some lenses do naik harga a bit..

but personally... i wont choose tammy 18200 la.. most probably for my all-rounder..
i might choose sony 18250... many user review it as better IQ than sony 18200...

for kittehlens replacement... in my mind only got 3...
- sony 1680Z
- sony 16105
- tammy 1750f2.8

18-250mm F3.5-6.3 AF DT = RM 1.7k

RM100 different... hmm.gif hmm.gif rolleyes.gif

ShootKK has the lens and quite satisfied with it...go ask him and perhaps can tt with him try the lens. He did some preview with it in previous V. As for me...prefer fast lens and prime lens.

The Sigma 18-200 is better than Tamron. But in the case of 17-55 f2.8 then Tamron 1 is better.

do you mean tamron 1750?

for some reasons, i dont know why sp00ky is too pro to sigma 1770 instead tammy 1750 .. tongue.gif .. i think, more users are using tammy 1750 instead siggy 1770 .. tongue.gif .. i really have no idea on the performance of siggy 1770 but i absolutely please for the price i paid with the performance from tammy 1750 .. smile.gif ..

alpha_company, between the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 and Sigma 18-50mm F2.8, honestly, they are both just as sharp.

However, the mount determines your choice.

Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 (New) - noisy Tamron in lens micro-motor on Canon and Nikon mounts
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 - screw-driven on Sony and Pentax mounts (it is a lot less distracting, and has a lower frequency sound.) Also if you can find the first version of the Tamron for Nikon mount, it is screw-driven also!
Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 HSM - good quiet Sigma HSM on Canon and Nikon mounts, plus 20cm MFD is really fun
Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 - screw-driven on Sony and Pentax mounts (this lens has had gear stripping cases.)

According to Kho King, the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 (New) has slower AF than the screw-driven version, both tested on a Nikon D200.
http://shashinki.com/blog/2008/03/04/tamro...i-short-review/

Seng_Kiat: Go test a 17-70mm, then! It has its merits. If you're just going to follow what people buy just because everyone has one, I dunno what to say lah.

A300 is good esp with its live view which always come in handy. Twin lens package? Good if u get good deal. If say one day u decide u dont need that lens u can sell it off. Cheaper place...try pudu plaza zaloon or...any shops in low yat plaza or bukit bintang but try to compare prices between each shop first. Good luck and welcome.

as per wat napi-bro said earlier... if u jump ship from pns to dslr.. A300W is demn cun package edi...

try survey at studio zaloon in pudu plaza.... or go lowyat coz lotsa shops fighting for customer...
but u need to hunt for it la... just be careful not to fall into their trap on marking up prices for accessories..
i believe they do so because they already give extra discount on body+kitlenses..

wat we all always tell here is buy the package only... accessories better cabut buy another time or other shop..
act like u not that noob... and please do take a note of accessories price too...
such as filter (UV/CPL/etc...)... cable this cable that... flashguns... batteries.... they might sell it double the price..
alternatively.. check the price at online shopping sites...

My 2cents bro... 1. Can still see the hood shadows from the flash. 2. should crop closer and focus on the face (at least cluttered background won't be visible). keep it up bro. keep going at it.
