Guyz (n Galz)! need info and advice... I seriously need a separate flash for my a200.. kenot use the 430EX all the time... found this flash in shashinki.com.. any good? somehow remind me of the F20-AM...

if i`m not mistaken, u cant too:)

HSS will be useful when u need to shoot with speed higher than ur flash sync speed. A200 sync speed is 1/60 if not mistaken, which means that is ur max when using ur flash. But with HSS turned on, u can shoot at high speed, say 1/2000 hhaha...

It will be superb useful for outdoor fill-flash. Imagine when the sun is right at the back of ur object. U need to fill flash right? I believe that using 1/60 will overexpose ur pic, so u can either stop down ur aperture or use a ND filter or USE HSS!!!!...meter ur background and say it needs 1/2000, fire ur flash at 1/2000 and u wil have a properly exposed background and object;)

there, mostly wideangle shots if ur into landscape.. if u got tele, can bring also la... unless urs is 70-200 2.8.. then it wouldnt be that heavy only.. i brought my whole gear there, everything fit into my lowepro + tripod some more..

jimlim007: I would strongly not recommend that Bower flash. It appears to be a rebadge of the Vivitar DF400MZ... which I saw at a TT just the other day. It hanged when one guy showed it to me! He says it hanged the other time when he wanted to use it for a job. Anyway, the price is too high for a risky flash - better to get a Sony F36 (cheapest) or F42.

Braynumb, the Falcon Eyes DPT386-AFZ is the same thing as the Vivitar DF400MZ and the Bower flash.

The F36 is the only flash that cannot turn left and right. The F42 can turn left and right like a human head does when looking left and right. The F58 tilts sideways like a human does when reading a sideways emoticon.

yeap... i taped a magnifying glass to it and used it as a macro converter lol... useful lens hood!
