I can live without L4D for a long~~~~~ time~~. We have Borderland to play with until Valve caves in. Im pretty sure after L4D 2 goes live they will completely forget about the first installment. The new map they made feels like a cheap attempt to cater to the backlash from players. BOIKOT L4D2!!!!!!

At least until they give us the weekend 50%deal~

Most likely all 4 will get the exclusive bat and how it works, there's post about it before.

When one guy with the bat exclusive is in a game, the other three players in the game will be able to use it too.
It's like the exclusive guy "activate" the bat for the game.

Considering the new stuff like the improved by leaps and bounds AI Director that changes the map each time you play and melee weapons which is not in L4D 1.Plus,those "not so significant" stuff like new guns,Special Infected,5 campaign out of the box,Survival Mode and another unannounced mode.

It's already good enough for me in a "half assed" looking sequel.

Do note that those content cant be put into a DLC,especially the new AI Director.

Damn everywhere i go, the game site is full of promoting l4d 2, everyday i goes gametrailer.com, always got l4d2 gameplay footage or something.

valve promoting the game does not fool me, borderland here i come!

I like to believe that the reason Crash Course is so mediocre is not because it was hacked together to appease the boycotters, but rather it was rushed and as a result its quality was severely compromised.

My take is, they were planning on releasing the new content a little later after L4D2 dropped, but since there were like a bajillion claims that Valve were dropping support for L4D, they had to compromise.

Its nice that Valve have developed this truly awesome relationship with their gaming community... They are in an absolutely unique position. Alas, this also means that they can't turn a blind eye to criticism anymore and as a result their "Valve time" has taken a great hit.


Also, do you ppl seriously believe they'll offer a 50% deal in a few months? SERIOUSLY? It has taken almost a YEAR to get the 50% drop for L4D (Even then its because of an impending sequel) and even with TF2 (Where the trend started), it took almost TWO YEARS for them to do it.

Just keep boycotting. I'll be playing BOTH L4D2 AND Borderlands.

Yeah,i heard retail wont work outside the country you purchase.That isnt the problem,though,as you can buy from Steam.

The problem are the servers.And,no private servers with less content and updates.
