Where is the best place to buy self cook food?
any advice?

There are supermarkets all over the place, like Pac n Save or Countdown. And usually if you buy above certain amount, can get discount for petrol also.

Was told Jetstar no longer fly KL-SIN-Auckland after end July or so. Might have to transit in Aussie next time if travelling with Jetstar.

North should be fine. South especially the southern parts may be quite cold. I didn't go there during winter, last year was around late april early may but I found it quite cold for me already. Generally, July is still the coldest month in that country.

i so miss nz, got any cheap ticket to aukland? i planning to go next year around may.
*
Cheapest now would be to transit in Aussie.
I paid RM811 for my flight KL-Sydney return (booked last few days during AA promo). And Jetstar promo Sydney-Auckland was around AUD150 one way.
That makes up about RM811 + RM900 so RM1.7k return KL-Auckland stopover in Sydney for a few hours/days.

oh icic. It'll be my first time so as long as I get to do it I'll be happy laugh.gif
that's super cheap! I jumped at my purchase and didn't wait for promo and came up to be around 1.2k KL>MEL>AUK. Wanted to transit in Sydney and visit for a day but since the Jetstar from Sydney to Auckland will stop at Melbourne first, so might as well go straight to Melbourne
*
Ehhh, jetstar Sydney- Auckland will stop by Melbourne? I didn't notice that lol. Have not booked my Sydney-Auckland flight yet.

haha. They consolidate most of their flights, all go through the same route. So, say if u go to Christchuch, you'll have to stop by Auckland/Wellington too laugh.gif
Rarely they have direct flights
*
Yea, to CHC I know have to stop by but to Auckland I thought all direct flights haha. Lucky thing I check. Otherwise total time is plus minus 9 hours compared to direct flight 3 hours. So much time wasted lol.

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jun 6 2014, 02:42 PM)
Oh, I didn't know that we can transit like this. Thanks!!! smile.gif
For accommodations, any place that's affordable for 5 nights stay?
*
In Auckland? I'm not very sure about accommodation, maybe you can check previous few posts. I think some other forumers have mentioned a few smile.gif

Hi,

I will be staying 2 nights in Christchurch. Do I need a car to go around? I don't take bus, are there any trams/MRT operational?

Is it easy to drive in the city? I have driven in Auckland, but not Christchurch.

Thanks.
*
I don't see a difference driving in Christchurch compared to driving in Auckland. As usual, pay attention to speed limits and be aware of your surroundings. Use a GPS and you'll be fine.

do i need a car in Auckland?
cause my flight is 6.45 am leaving auckland, so returning the car is a problem.
So planning to return the car when reach auckland and use public transport at auckland. was it convenient enough?

I do have problem to get a hostel that provide car park in wellington.
any recommendation for this?
*
I'm not sure about public transport but have you book your hotel in Auckland? Maybe get an airport hotel or nearby that provide free airport shuttle transfer. Return the car when you arrive Auckland (at the airport I assume?), take free transfer to hotel, stay one night, take free transfer to airport the next day.

What's the cheapest route for roundtrip christchurch Kuala lumpur? and what happen to jetstar ? used to have direct flight to christchurch.
*
Jetstar have not had direct flight to KL for some time already. Last time Airasia used to have but they stopped already.

Currently Jetstar also stopping the KL-SG-Auckland flight after this month. Will have to fly KL-SG-Melbourne-Auckland with longer transit hours. If you wanna fly via Jetstar (budget), maybe you can get Christchurch-Melbourne then Melbourne-SG-KL, or get Airasia from Melbourne-KL.

Otherwise, domestic flight to Auckland and MAS direct to KL. But this one sure more expensive.

Hi Guys, I plan to visit New Zealand next year around Oct or Nov. What's the cheapest route since Air Asia don't fly there.

Check jetstar. Or airasia to Melbourne, then air nz or jetstar to nz. For domestic flights in nz, check air nz and jetstar.

Well if you don't mind the transit hours, there are different ways for you to travel. Drop by Melbs then fly to Auckland or CHC. Virgin, Air NZ, and a few more are good choices.

Previously I had the chance to try aax to CHC but that was few months before they decided to axe the route. Lucky me for choosing earlier dates doh.gif
*
Oh yes AAX direct to CHC, those were the days I got it for about rm800 return free seats promo laugh.gif

Lol. Now that is cheap. Since I am used to booking last min. I paid quite expensive rates for it. :/

Yea, very super duper cheap, can never get that rate again laugh.gif

Another time paid about 1.8k for AAX KL-CHC for last minute booking. Still cheap compared to what we can get with MAS.

The Credit is valid for 12 months, the data package only for 1 month.

Actually the credit would have been $36.08 as the data plan automatically renewed itself after a month - which I've now cancelled.

Card was used for calls etc. between too - the amount/date I pasted before was from the 2degrees online login

user posted image
Whatever really, I prefer to give it away to someone that uses it rather than leaving it in a drawer until the credit expires  thumbup.gif
*
Wah so wasted they autorenew for the next month.

Would like to get it if you don't mind giving it away. laugh.gif
Means I'll have to top up to >$20 credit and then subscribe to the data plan that I want to use it right?
