Hi guys,
I'm gonna go to Queenstown with my wife and a friend from 13 - 18 Aug (5 days) next month and I'm trying to come up with an itinerary of what to do there. So far we've planned to ski/snowboard for the first 2 days that we're there but we're not too sure what else to do after that.
I was hoping that some of you who have been to Queenstown during winter can share on what activities can we do or maybe your past itinerary? It's a bit of a tussle because my friend wants to sky dive and bungee jump but my wife is too scared to do it. So need to figure out what other things we can do.
Thanks!!

Go to nearby towns for the scenery. NZ is mainly scenery, walks and extreme/adventure sports, as well as some museum and history.I'm gonna go to Queenstown with my wife and a friend from 13 - 18 Aug (5 days) next month and I'm trying to come up with an itinerary of what to do there. Drive around Lake Wakatipu, stop by at the towns on the way and enjoy the scenery. You can also spend a day at Arrowtown for its history and beautiful town.
Should be able to fill up the 5 days pretty easily.

Sorry just want to ask...if comparing NZ and Perth, which is cheaper?
If bringing infant and old ppl...South or North suit to travel?
The last I been to Australia was over 10 years ago so I can't really answer that question for you. Some say that NZ is much more expensive than Australia and even Australia tourists find travelling in NZ expensive. But it really depends on your budget, there are lots of budget backpackers travelling in NZ, so it also depends on what you are comfortable with. If bringing infant and old ppl...South or North suit to travel?
I would say whole of NZ generally suitable for family to travel. It's just harder to get to SI since there is no direct flights to SI. I recommend hiring a car and driving around NI or SI.
