Im planing to head to MEL from CHC, just wana check whether it is advisable to take them with few hours gap. I.E,

CHC to MEL arrive at around 2200, MEL to KL depart at 0125..

Talk about wasted  . If you still coming here next year just let me know cause I might leave this place.

Hi all, im abit confused whether i need transit visa when i transit in melbourne to auckland.

i will be flying emirates and have a 6 hour stop @ melbourne. the flight number from KL > aus is diff from aus > auckland, so do i need to re-check in my luggage etc., hence require a transit visa, or i dont need to ? thanks.

my luggage left at Mel, the people in counter just ignore me and tell me to find out at Singapore Airport when i ask them about my luggage.
Really WTF.....

The counter person in Auckland who told me that i need do nothing in Mel as the luggage will auto transit.
But i not really trust her, so i ask at Mel airport about my luggage, than they say everything is fine and need do nothing. Than they add, for the luggage collection, check at Changi baggage collection desk. It sound weird to me but since they say i need do nothing.
They do see my boarding pass from Auckland as well.

not really lost.
At changi, they told me the luggage at Mel, cause the ticket say only to Mel. And they say will send the luggage back on next available flight.
Than next day i call, they say unable to located my luggage yet.
Day after, they call me found and on the flight to Changi and send to my home..
end up send to me 1am on the 4th day.

Direct flight from KL to Christchurch or take budget airline[AirAsia] from KL to Melbourne [perhaps i can stay there 1 or 2 days just to see Great Ocean Road] and then take another budget airline from Melbourne to Christchurch?

2. Will the road in NZ be frosty or snowy during May? From what I've read, sometimes it could be frosty but not snowy, so I do no need to rent the snow chain right?

guys, if I wanna go NZ for 1 week. No rushing just wanna relax. Maybe one day go 1 spot and spend my whole day there. Where can I go ? Auckland or Christchurch ?

I'm thinking to go during Sept. is that a good time to go ?

Spend the entire week in Queenstown for  a relaxing trip if you can:)

Fly direct to Queenstown, get windows seat to experience the close range flying through the mountain surrounding the airport .. can be boring for some but definitely difference.

Look for luxury accommodation with balcony and view. Some lake view are only so so. I tried Mantra and Oaks Club Resort and the difference is worth every penny (Oaks Club Resort being way better but make sure you rent 2-3 bedroom instead of single)

Gondola and the city centre itself is great  for relaxation. Don't forget to try the Ferg burger and Cookies Monster while in Queenstown.

Arrow town @ spring season is beautiful
