is it the tiny red2 one or the big white one?

where does it resides? does it move or at certain joint and just static?

does ur scorpion shows any sign of irritating out of itchiness or anything?

she does groom more frequent and uses her tail to keruk below her.. often... the mites are whiteish color... and are around her abdomen, head, around the joints and some in the joints on her tail... i used a pencil to get it out and vaseline to scrape all of them out. once scrape they all move about trying to escape... wen will u come down here then.. im extreamly afraid this girl might die... this is the girl who eats her own brood..

Rideon, did u scrap out all the mites with vaseline and make sure they died drowning in the vaseline b4 disposing it properly?
After tat did u wash the tank and use sponge to wash the wall of the tank?
Change the whole substrate also

white mites should be ok,

it just irritating in a sense that they crawl2 all, the scorpion is just rimas and stressed,

but won't die one because it is not actually sucking the nutrient out and what not,

introduce a big, deep enough container for her to dip her body, but not too deep until drown yah.

I've seen the use of this container in a sense that they attract the mites and the mites drown.

One more thing, adequate water provide ur scorpion a medium to 'bath' and helps remove the mites too (observation wise)

then if u feel like it is necessary, change the substrates and for the following substrates, microwave it first.

It may be a good idea too if you dry it naturally under the sun before you use as substrates.

i washed the tank using detol and yes i did sponge it. yeap i did not cover the vaseline on her booklung.
and as for the water dish, i have a large enough dish for her to dip but frequently i saw some white stuff (i think its mites) swimming on top of the water. i sunno if thats what u mena drowing them.
i didnt make sure the mites are dead on the cotton bud with the vaseline. i just scrape them and toss the cotton bud in a plastic and secure it tightly...

should it be that way, one more way is to determine the size. Usually the harmful one are the small2 one rite?

btw today my first time in the Jabatan,

we actually deal with otodectese psoroptes, ear mites in cats,
so the insecticidal might as well works on scorpions too since we surely cannot inject them with any medication,
it is also a good idea to use antibacterial liquid or antiseptic to totally clear the scorpions.

other collections? as far now.. i see no mites in them. only this particular tank. my guess is that wen she had babies it attract the mites to them as i did leave the tank rather moist than usual. and wen she eat them all the leftover kinda attracts more in the burrow and at the same time on her. so this is my guess..

All those guys are good at WC I assumed.

then tomorrow we can lepak lol, u roger rafiqos ask him to turun asia cafe la.

If all is good I can bring my equipment to operate on ur scorps.
