I had a N82 before... Damn good phone... Got stolen by a malay guy and asked for money to return it but didn't show up... Curse him!!!
Anyway, the N82 has a great camera and Xenon flash... And the only phone running dual processor... Sweet...
Thinking of buying another one again... Any comments? Or should i wait for N8 instead? (To be honest, i like phone with Xenon flash) rclxms.gif

my suggestion is...wait..

N82 is a great phone with nice camera and all, but then, if u can afford N8, then get N8, it's the best camera phone i have seen so far, picture camera quality is even at par with semi-pro cameras, and it has way updated OS, and better hardware...i don see why not get a N8 instead

Although N8 is has great features but the OS are still new. I dont think there are much compatible softwares in the market. Since i can get a new N82 from my fren with a low price, thats why I'm considering on buying a new one.
What do you think of Altek Leo? Can it fight N8 with with its camera and andriod OS?
Im still glad i used N82 before for it is truely a great phone after N73. LOL!!! rclxms.gif

Altek Leo? not sure, but i think it's hard to see any phone, or even digital camera to use a bigger light sensor then N8....
anyway something worthy mentioning is that Symbian^3 can run current s60v5 apps...i think something on the N8 thread mentioned that

I'm using JBak Taskman. Always exit all the apps after use. Otherwise, it will take up a lot of battery, especially games running in background.

some apps starts with the phone itself, and it's hidden process...so u cant really track it...u need to use JBTaskman like cute_boboi suggested to view the hidden process, details i think u better ask him...i also recall there's a version of garmin that auto launches a background process that eats up battery, or if u are using the later version of garmin, disable the 'run background process' in the option menu

Not only that, some personal settings you use may affect it, like themes or screen saver or etc.

There is one time I install some animated themes + screen saver, the battery usage drop 50% even if I do not use the phone at all. After uninstall, back to normal.

Wow, can last 4 years without any problem. Guess I Have to wait another 3 years to buy a new phone...(i bought it on July 2009).

One question If you can answer me. Since my phone is unhacked, and I apply dev cert to sign the application but the dev cert only valid 2 years. What will happen to the installed application after the dev cert expired???

I have a (nearly) 2 year old N82 and works well apart from the battery life that I had to replace with another.

You should wait for N8. The reason is that it has a 12MP camera with Xenon flash. Can record at 720p @ 25fps too.
