the charge only during 1st connection to gps satellites...
or during im using gps...

Im now waiting for N8 cause its an improve version of N82... Hope it will launch soon... Miss my Nokia phone...

The charges is only when you start the Nokia Maps during the satellite searching. 10 cents if not mistaken.
If you're not using navigation, there will be no charges.

Well technically (and spiritually) the N8 is not an improve version of N82. It has touch screen, S^3 operating system, no camera lens cover, no keypad, and not candy bar form factor.

Is there any software that can set the screen horizontal and vertical?

long live the N82!! it is the best candy bar phone ever (and probably still is!).. and most underrated phone.. i love this phone to bits.. been using it for almost 3 years.. still good but itching to replace it.. but there is still no better phone N8? i still prefer phones with real keypads or keyboard.. maybe wait for N9.

Hi people. It's been a long time since I posted something at this forum. Proud owner of Nokia N82. And it had been serving me well for 2 years without major problem.

But recently, I found out on my Web browser right, once I cleared "All" Privacy data that includes History, Cache, Cookies, Passwords. By right all the history should be cleared once I pressed Clear privacy data -> All. This time around the history of certain websites I went before had not being erased. In addition, it goes to Auto Boomarks and I tried deleting it and set the bookmarks to Off it still appearing those website I went before(when I pressed navigation options->Go to web address. Plus, the newer websites(other than the old ones) I went didn't goes into the new list of History.

So, should I do a hard reset on my phone or update to the latest firmware?

n82 is indeed a good phone

been using my N82 for 2 years now, it's been serving me well without any problems. but a few weeks ago, my bluetooth suddenly cant turn on, it says "unable to perform bluetooth operation". What could be the problem?Has anybody experience it before?

Try updating your firmware. If the problem remains, I think you'll need to send it to the repair shop or Nokia Care.

u mean it's a hardware problem? does anyone know how much it cost to replace the bluetooth module?

If its not software, for sure its hardware. I don't know how much will it cost. Check with those offering to fix phones in trade zone. If its cheap, there's no harm fixing it.

Its been a year since purchase N82
and the scroll button (middle button) is kind of loose
is that normal?

Can it be replace? just the scroll button?

it seems like either the bluetooth module died, or its connector is loose..last time my N81 also have a "unable to perform camera operation" and when i send to check up they say the camera connector is loose or connector spoiled then replace for me...ur one i think u need to get it to be checked


hm..mine is still rather firm after using it for nearly 2 years now...i think keypad can be easily replaced, shouldnt be a problem with that

u do know the screen auto-rotates, right?

My N82 already 2 years old . Bought it new from a forumer here , really nice phone . It had basically everything but starting to show its age .

One magical thing is I previously had a few lines of dead pixel on the screen , but it gradually decrease and completely gone now . Nice .

And my middle button had some paint defecting .

the silver area around the camera starts to peel off....ahh!!!

Happens to all N82 .

Even my black part around the navigation button are starting to peel off..
