The prepaid+postpaid package I meant yesterday was out in today's The Star page N7. See if I have time I'll scan it here, no promise because I have a very important meeting to attend today and plenty of preparation needed to do beforehand.
So, anyone who reads it may post it here. Anyway, not much details were revealed too. Added on July 16, 2009, 9:25 amAnyway chatted with D' Chat and here is the outcome, hope it enlightens some of you. (9:06:21 am) DiGi CS: Hi, welcome to D'Chat. QUOTE(Lost~* @ Jul 16 2009, 10:30 AM) er i need to verify abt the new digi prepaid thingy b4 i switch... 1) Yes. Just that once you hit RM 1 of SMS usage, your call rate will auto change to 12cents/minute and 1 cent/SMS (applies to FnF). However, 1 cent SMS is only for DiGi numbers and DiGi FnF, not the 4 non-DiGi number.1) if i switch to this new prepaid from my old super FnF plan(in i like plan), then do i still get to benefit from the FnF rate of 1 cent per sms and 15cent/min call? or everyone will be under the 10cent/sms rate? 2) the FnF states i'll get 4 off-net numbers(not digi numbers i assume) as well if i switch to the new plan..so these 4 numbers also will be 1cent/sms n 15cent/min call? i checked under charges, it only shows 10cent/sms under sms charges, so i'm abit unsure. thanks for anyone who can clarify. 2) Only 15 cents/minute (once hit RM 1 SMS usage then it is 12 cents/minute), not 1 cent/SMS. SMS is 10 cents/SMS for off-net numbers. Everything is the same as your Super FnF just that an additional of RM 1.00 promotion. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 16 2009, 10:43 AM |

QUOTE(Lost~* @ Jul 16 2009, 10:59 AM) thanks for the fast reply. Yes. You didn't know that even though you were on Super FnF? erm ok...lets forget the 12cent thing first. so does this mean that even if the 4 off-net numbers is in the FnF list, these 4 numbers will only get the 15cent/min call benefit, but not the 1cent/sms benefit? alil confusing..like half-half the benefit... Yes, all this while the 4 off-net number only gets discounted call rate but not discounted SMS rate. |

QUOTE(aliqueamyrei @ Jul 16 2009, 12:28 PM) fruitie, No not need to register any postpaid plan. Just go to any Specialised Store or dealer and tell them you want to register for EDGE Unlimited. Just pay RM 66 and you are done. I want to subscribe Digi EDGE Unlimited Plan but I am not Digi user.. So, If I want to subscribe, first I need to subscribe to Digi Postpaid Plan right?. Then proceed to Digi EDGE Unlimited Plan?.. So total monthly I need to pay is : Digi Postpaid Plan DG30 - RM30 Digi EDGE Unlimited - RM66 Total - RM96 is it correct?.. but how about this FAQ : Can I subscribe to the Data Only Plan without signing up for the DiGi Postpaid Plan? YES. Data Unlimited Plans are available with the following options: Data Only SIM (DOS) : without voice DiGi Postpaid Plan + DiGi Data Plan : with voice It means I can subscribe to Digi EDGE Unlimited without to signing up to Digi Postpaid plan?.. I dont know what does Data Only Sim (DOS) : without voice mean, care to explain?.. Another q, usb modem huawei 7.2mb can use for edge plan right?.. Is the any comittment/minimum contract for Postpaid DG30 & EDGE Unlimited?..what if I terminate both before the contract end?.. No commitment, can terminate anytime. Yes, the modem can be used, usually they are all unlocked to all telcos. |

QUOTE(aliqueamyrei @ Jul 16 2009, 01:15 PM) Yes, it is stable but you don't expect high speed. High speed, you need to register for its HSPA broadband. EDGE is popular for its stability. |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Jul 16 2009, 03:26 PM) Just realised that info on the dg family thingy is up on the website: All DiGi's postpaid plan, DiGi is using DG. Like DG30, DG50 and etc.http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dgfamily/index.do Wonder why it's called 'dg' instead of 'digi'. |

QUOTE(dos @ Jul 17 2009, 09:34 PM) About digi family prepaid, the RM15 commitment fee can it be used? Also do you automatically get 1 month validity with that RM15? It is prepaid credit, yeah can use.About validity, I'm not that sure. You gotta check with DiGi. QUOTE(ilovelyn @ Jul 17 2009, 11:07 PM) yes.. It is not DG30. DG30 is an independent plan of DiGi postpaid that cannot register for supplementary line.i think so.. but its more easier if u go do it at digi centre itself.. and the supp line to get those free sms call and mms make sure u choose the digi30 supp line.. This supplementary plan is known as 1 Family. Please take note on the term. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 18 2009, 01:11 AM |

QUOTE(od3n @ Jul 18 2009, 01:10 AM) if i apply via m2u, i can get 35rm rebate rite.. that's my point for that.. btw, why i need to choose dg30 supp line?? is that you mean dg family postpaid? ilovelyn made a mistake for saying that as DG30, actually no. It is known as 1Family.About your case, just get yourself registered first via Maybank2u, then after everything is done and your line is activated, both you and your girlfriend just hop into any DiGi dealer and proceed with the supplementary procedure. You cannot just tell DiGi about your intention to register a supplementary line, you need to go with her to do the registration together. Added on July 18, 2009, 1:19 amThis is the general procedure of registering DiGi postpaid via M2U: How to switch to DiGi Postpaid via M2U and get rewarded 1. Login to your M2U account 2. Fill in the simple MNP (Mobile Number Portability) request form in "Mobile Banking" page. 3. Insert your new DiGi SIM card when your current line stops working. (It will be delivered to your address) 4. Enjoy a total rebate of RM35 over 3 months http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...S-OtherServices This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 18 2009, 01:19 AM |

QUOTE(od3n @ Jul 18 2009, 01:33 AM) now system unavailable for a moment i think.. i tried before, but until the second last page of process. afraid if i make mistake It is not difficult for them as what is needed only the SIM card serial number. I'm sure when you receive the package, it will have a little manual booklet to tell you what to do next. If so, I think you can ask your girlfriend to go with you and get everything done one shot. Your girlfriend will do MNP too? This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 18 2009, 01:40 AM |

QUOTE(od3n @ Jul 18 2009, 01:48 AM) yup, she'll do the same. but manually coz she got no mybnk acc. erm.. maybe i need a trip from jb to kb to settle that thing haha.. about the digi family prepaid, i cant understand the commitment fees of rm15. how ya? Wow, but actually to save the hassle both of you can just register at one time at the same place, but you want the rebate right? DG Family plan huh? I need to put up the latest information soon on the front page, please bear with the delay as my job has taken up much commitment and time. OK, back to this. Here it goes. Hopefully my simple English enlightens you somehow. DG Family is a plan whereby both prepaid and postpaid can be supplementary lines to a main principal line. The principal line can have maximum of 3 prepaid numbers and 6 postpaid numbers as supplementary lines. Next, RM 15 commitment? Yeah, it is but then it is just a minimum prepaid reload requested by DiGi. It is a credit, so you can use it up. The charges rate for both postpaid and prepaid supplementary line: ![]() One drawback of this plan is its prepaid supplementary line cannot register for any FnF: ![]() For more information: http://www.digi.com.my/whatshot/promotions/dgfamily/index.do This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 18 2009, 02:02 AM |
