The box is so big but easy to dismantle. The PC-12plus is nicely wrapped with plastic. It is protected by foams. Very good packaging indeed. That's all for now as I need to switch off my gear. I mean my PC-12Plus

I might (only might) bring in a few more units in with a mixture of 12+ and 13Ultras. Yet to confirm. Probably by air too.

If this is ok, then expect massive shipment coming in to flood domestic market. Pray hard.

I felt my 12R no value liao....

Mine is PC-12Plus. I am 'greedy' fella if you know me. Since the price difference of PC-12NSD is 'not that much', I took the heaviest plunge of my life.

I must admit that this is single most expensive 'investment' that I ever made throughout my 17 years of HT hobby.

I'm working on alternative ways to get it ship to me.  SVS too good to give up!

The PB is heavier than the PC, so the PC's shipping cost should be cheaper.  Afterall, the PC and the PB sound the same according to SVS.  I don't know about the Velo SPL but everything I read on the net seems to point me back to the SVS.  One thing for sure is that you cannot go wrong with the SVS product.

the other thing that impress me is that there are spare parts for all the SVS products which you can order and replace it yourself should you need any later in the product life.  Of all the speakers manufacturer out there, you might be out of luck if your speakers got problem and has been discontinued.

I am looking to shipping it to Kuching or Brunei.  Brunei looks like a good option as there is no tax in Brunei and it is only 2 hrs drive from Miri.  The last options is to have it ship to KL.
You have a good point.  Oh...so you do own the PB12-NSD.  I heard that this thing sounds great with music too as there is not a single hint of boominess.  Is that true?

I personally believe that the PB12-NSD would blew the Velo 12R out of the water.  The reason is that the I have the velo 12R now and its just not so good with music.  Many user have confirm that the PB12-NSD can go as low as 17Hz and that is just crazy for that price!

Added on June 14, 2009, 4:47 pmI know I sound over enthusiastic for the PC12-NSD, but I can't help it from what I read from user all around the world.   I think for those who have own a better woofers like the Velo SPL etc they might not feel that much of an improvement from the PC12-NSD.

If you got 'road' to get it in Brunei, then it is excellent. You might as well order 2 pieces. Easy to bring back to Miri from there.

hello all sifu, i am a beginner in home entertainment. i am abt. to set up my av room with husband. The room size 12' x 22' x 10' with plaster ceiling.I and my husband have been following or reading the forum for quite sometimes. My intention setup consists Pioneer amp, Pioneer bluray player,pioneer 60" plasma tv. Speaker will be either B & W or others american speaker with velo or rel or b & W as subwoofer. We will most likely to choose rel or b&W as subwoofer. I need info about subwoofer as i audition rel subwoofer at CMY outlet, seem to be very good and solid. According to CMY for a good subwoofer they specify you don,t need to go so low on frequency. At abt. 20-25 hz is the most suitable range, below that you will not feel the oomph much or rather to low of frequency of 18 and below you will not feel the punchy sound and you feel too hollow. Sure enough they show us the magazine abt. some other more expensive model (JL Audio 22Hz, Velodyne spl 20 hz, earthquake 23hz and most of them in between 20-25hz range) As my husband will most likey to spend most of the times on action movies , so this gentlement from CMY state that too low of freq. of 20 below will most suitable for musical and not suitable for action movies, as he said too low too  hollow will it sound and loose all those punchy feeling. So thanks for reading this text and need all the sifu to comment before parting my hard earn money, thanks.

Just got my PB12-NSD from Singapore on Saturday. Had to bring an SUV to pick it up. The thing is HUGE!!! I can't imagine how the ultra and the plus series will look since its bigger. I now have a very nice coffee table in my house.

I tested it yesterday and it brought me to another level of movie watching. You really ARE in the movie now. I didn't know there was so much bass in all the movies and it provided a heightened feeling of being engulfed by sound even though I'm in an open living hall. Just like SVS claimed, it was rattling my sliding doors during the strong bass scenes. I can hear my neighbours complaining now.... hahaha.

It was a good haul from Singapore. My 2 friends brought back a Marantz 6003 amp, a pair of Dynaudio book shelf, Dynaudio centre and a Marant 8002 CD player. Customs were to busy talking to one another... hahaha.

Yeah, that's where I got my Onkyo 606. The boss is very friendly...

Upgrading to Plus or Ultra?
