Please correct me if I am not on the right track.. Here is what I understand:

1. US accessories (ULTIMATE ORIGINAL)
2. Taiwan accessories (ORIGINAL)
3. Korean accessories (DISPUTABLE ORIGINAL - some say original, some say fake, some say original but has low quality)
4. Japan accessories (I DON'T KNOW)
5. Wuu accessories (FAKE or COMPATIBLE)

all accessories coming from nintendo are 1st party accessories, no matter wich country it is from. other accessories other from nintendo are 3rd party accessories. they are not fake, they are just 3rd party.

so what makes it fake? fake means it carries the brand nintendo, but it is not made by nintendo. fake can come from any country. how to spot a fake? they usually have subtle differences. i think i remember reading a lyn thread on this. kindly do a search within the forum. keyword "FAKE"

if u buy from a reputable shop, it shouldn't be fake.

Yeah, that's what I've read. The terms 'Original Taiwan' and 'Fake Korean' made me confused.

If you can play then it's not bricked. If it can be turned on but can't play then it's semi bricked.

brick means u can't even on the wii. the wii become a brick (bata).
semi brick means u cannot access your wii settings (the button at the bottom left of your wii main manu page)

so don't think u have encountered a bricked wii yet. but becareful. i hope the seller briefed u the don'ts for this brikable wii.

Yesterday, I click on Mii channel. Then the screen just went black. I wait wait also nothing come out. I become
scared (anyway, I'm not connected to internet). I try to turn off the power using Wii Remote. But it is not responding.
I push the eject button also the disc cannot eject. So I off the power supply. I try to on back. But the screen still
blank.

What I did is I off power supply again. On the power supply back. Then use the Wii Remote to turn on the Wii.
Then only it work. So now I scared to click Mii Channel. sad.gif

Is there something wrong with my Mii? Should I delete Mii channel and reinstall back?

But the Wii is still playable. The setting button still there. So I dun think they will fix it.

By the way, when i point the wii mote to the screen, do I expect it to direct pointing? I set it above TV for the motion bar.
But I feel the pointer is not point very direct to the screen. Is it because my position?

Added on January 20, 2010, 5:02 pmCan i calibrate the Wii Mote?

he did not mean the semi-bricked Wii does not have Setting button. u just cannot ACCESS the settings itself once semi-bricked.

as for the pointer accuracy, you mention u positioned the sensor bar above TV. did u set the option to "Above TV" in the Wii Setting options too ? how far are u from the TV/sensor when playing ?

I set it to Above TV. How far? I think 1.5m or 2m.

is the sensor bar at the center of the TV and are u facing the sensor bar directly (straightline) when pointing ?
