In case you guys haven't noticed, Nintendo will begin rereleasing titles (SOME DISCONTINUED ONES) for cheap at USD 20. I would most likely get those titles also, or if not, i can just get them from the states.
Also, the rumor on Wii bundling Mario Kart instead of Wii Sports and Wii Sports resort is almost true. Wii Sports won't be in the US bundle anymore as it'd be replaced with Mario Kart Wii. I'm not sure on Resort tho. But sadly, Malaysia won't be getting those bundles soon. THANKS TO THE PEOPLE of.... Well, you know who. |

It seems that PAL region is selling black wii with Wii Remote Plus, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Wheel, Wii Sport, Donkey Kong WiiWare pre-installed as bundle.

I'd like to ask. Do you guys/girls ever regretted buying the wii over xbox360/ps3? I cant make up my mind. Been seing some trailers of wii games and im really attracted to it.
Always loved RPGs made for ps series, but really want to experience the new motion playing like wii. Recently heard that they both(ps3 and 360) also released motion controller. However, the 360 only supports some games for kinect. Another question is regarding mod and original set. Which one is the best? And there's been some people selling wii dvd games the same as ps2 disc games. Is it true So can anyone help me make up my mind? I'm interested in RPG, action and adventure games. Wii used to be lacking in JRPG department, however in 2010/11 some great JRPG titles were launched on Wii such as Tales of Graces, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, as well as the coming Earth Seeker, and hopefully Dragon Quest X. With Tales of Graces also released on PS3 as Tales of Graces F, currently other titles are Wii exclusive and except Xenoblade which got a PAL release announced, all remain Japanese exclusive. Action/Adventure wise, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming with a promising motion plus control scheme.
If you understand Japanese and play a lot of Japanese games (actually on there are many interesting Japanese only titles for Wii), you can get a NTSC-J Wii; else a modded Wii is the only way to play those JRPG. Hey, modded console doesn't necessarily means that you have to play pirates ya know. BTW, Arc Rise Fantasia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World are two good JRPGs got NTSC-U released. |

I'd say, don't really go for Wii RPG titles. They don't fare that much. That is if you don't want to go the modified route.
The Wii for me however offers more Action and Adventure titles, specifically speaking about the Wii platform only. The Adventure aspect is a lot more than Action, so you might want to look into that before purchasing. |

Wow! Got some nice title going on. Thanks for the info titan!
So, lets say to play The Last Story, does it need to use motion control? Or need additional classic controller($_$)? @Kyo, I recently read that some people mod in order to make their wii region-free right? I might be venturing that way also. But with all the problems, not really sure if i should get one. Any promising Action/Adventure titles? This post has been edited by teddbundy: May 5 2011, 08:43 AM |

The Last Story don't use any motion controls... just Wiimote and Nunchuck...
Yes. People mod their Wiis. No one doesn't, it's just plain nothing without homebrew channel and stuff. Wii is the BEST nintendo console to date. So thats the reason to get the Wii actually. Action/Adventure titles? Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Other M, One Piece Unlimited Cruise (if you're a fan of the series), and uhh... some Theres plenty of good games. You can try out Wii Sports which is very fun even for 1 Players. Monster Hunter 3 is awesome, Tales of Graces is the best tales game I played so far and has an interesting storyline, Arc Rise Fantasia is nice (English dub sucks like hell... LIKE HELL though) Wait for the price drop and you will get one for 150$ which is the same price of a DSi.... or cheaper This post has been edited by HiRuMi91: May 5 2011, 09:20 AM |

@hirumi91,
ok thanks for the info! I thought motion controls = wiimote & Nunchuck. I guess i need more reading Which one is better, softmod or hardmod? Most shops would sell hard mod right? Whats the risk of using modded wii? Googled the risk but pages from '09 are appearing so the sources are a bit outdated xD I played Zelda : Wind Walker for the Gamecube if I'm not mistaken and its kinda cool. Played MH in psp and blowed my mind. Can't image playing it on tv. Super cool! So.. I heard to play boxing games, we kinda like have to punch with the wiimote and nunchuck. Is it true? So if playing MH3, we need to slash and slash? xD or not all games are like that? This post has been edited by teddbundy: May 5 2011, 09:30 AM |

Motion controls is the swinging and stuff. The Last Story don't use no swinging or aiming your wiimote to the TV screen and stuff.
For the inexperienced, hardmod. But if you think you have read enough and can softmod yourself then go ahead. Hardmods would cost more though. I assure you softmodding is so simple even my cat can do it. If I have one that is. The risk is there so, yeaah. EDIT: Mod risks?.. No risk for hardmods I guess. Softmods have bannerbrick or whatever which bricks your Wii and have to use some crazy methods to cure. Added on May 5, 2011, 9:35 amWii boxing in Wii Sports don't work that well though... And I haven't actually played MH3, it's awesome cuz it's no.1 spot @ gameFAQs. This post has been edited by HiRuMi91: May 5 2011, 09:35 AM |

Well, if you're referring to official malaysian unit, can most likely tell you it won't happen anytime soon. Blame Singapore for that.
If you were to buy online, be wary of custom taxes. The price may drop, but if the price inclusive of shipping is still more than RM 500, you might get into trouble. |
