Sadly no. Huhu. the option presented before, now gone. Haih...

In such case, the only legit way to play games from other region is to get a modded Wii. sad.gif
OR
Get NTSC-J Wii since there are many Japan exclusive games; while most NTSC-U/PAL games will be released as NTSC-J anyway.
Am I correct? hmm.gif

Yup2.

But I don't see any subtitle options for english games that get translated to Jap. Then again, i have not experienced such and such before. But if you do intend to invest in Jap Wii for selected jap games, you should.

My sister want to get a wii with wii fit plus to get herself slim.

First, I want to know, what is the different between Wii Original and Modified?

My sister ask the shop seller and they said that Modified Wii sell RM 900++ which can read the pirated game disc but crack the firmware(?) only sell RM600++ only which read though the hard disk.

If my sister is going to choose modified wii, so what should she choose?
and what is original wii benifit?

sorry for my bad english, and i hope to get some answers here, thanks.

Please refer back to the first page and the first post. That should answer all you need for modified and original.

It is not modified at all.

If you do not know, why not spend some time to read the first post of the thread? That should give you an understanding of modifications.

Today I spend the whole afternoon in JB local game shops and finally I found one shop is selling unmodded wii console. Bought a red NTSC-U New Super Mario Bros. Wii bundle and a Wii Fit Balance Board bundle; I myself would like a NTSC-J Wii to play Japanese exclusive titles but this Wii is meant for my wife and kids who don't read Japanese so I'll just go with it. My bad was I didn't check properly on the Wii Fit and bought a Korean version of Wii Fit Balance Board bundle which suppose to be NTSC-J version... sad.gif but the shop seller keep saying that she guarantee can play and mutually agree would exchange to a playable version if really can't play... hopefully she'll keep her promise.
Anyway, when I was asking around, some game shop told me the soft-modded Wii cosole they are selling can be unmodded by just uninstalling all the hacks (and the shop will do it for me), is this even possible? If possible then it'll be a very good deal to get those modded set because for a merely RM100 you get a 500GB HDD and an extra set of Wii Remote + Nunchuk (claimed to be original). But again when I looked at those consoles which they claimed to be NTSC-U Wii are in fact Korean sets (serial no. start with "LK").
Anyway, I got my unmodded set and now waiting for my boy to wake up from his nap to unpack the console (he was over excited therefore fall asleep in the car when we were going home). Next step is to look for ori. game sellers smile.gif

worse case scenario, you can always buy just the US version of Wii Fit Plus game disc if you already have the Balance Board.

if the Korean board was original it would have come with a korean version wii fit disc. ( i have one but unable to use it LOL ... just wanted the board )

if your wii console is really unmodded ... it's really amazing that the seller can guarantee it will play a supposedly NTSC-J region disc ! anyway good luck on the promise.

btw, your description of the "removing the mods" sounds fishy ... as the HDD would not be useful thru the Wii if it is not soft modded. i doubt they would be selling everything at a normal price by the sound of things ...

good that u decided on the US original wii ... no hassle, no worries smile.gif
