if you buy from modded wii in malaysia it will be korean wii so you want to revert back to korean? mostly US set in malaysia are non-modded only korean are modded i know a shop at subang can revert korean modded wii back to original but never try it (why should i ),

modded wii can still create MII and do shopping and play online

people actually very confuse with whether a modded wii can do what an unmodded wii can do. give u an analogy, if u modify a car, can it still do what an unmodded car do? yes and no. depends how u mod the car, right? so, a simple answer would be can. but if u happen to have a problem, u need to mod it somemore to solve the problem. and that's the hassle of a modded wii i.e. the "modding it somemore" part.

true my hunt for US set around KL games shop found nothing, always got same answer, "why buy US set need to buy original maaa buy korean set no need original"

so mean MOD Wii is still the same as UNMOD Wii la???

Biggest disadvantage buying modded Wii is when you buy the latest Wii game asking you to update, you have to wait for one week to actually play the game while spending the 7 days researching how to mod the already modded Wii even further

yeah it the same wii but modded to you know what it do buy unmodded preferably so you wont have trouble with games like Rock band GH it famous for modded wii does not detect it instrument

good question. i believe the demand for unmodded wii is higher. that is why its more expensive. but malaysian sellers don't understand this (idiots!). they insist buyers wants modded (idiot again!). but then no demand. so no demand price drop lor.

Wrong marketing at the wrong place. And normal shops that persuade you to buy unmod wiis profit more through piracy rather than the selling of the wii.

Owh, and I'm the man for unmodded wiis. Unmodded wiis are a little expensive due to the suppliers wanting to pay for taxes. Also, some shops sell it expensive to make the modded ones look cheaper and better. Sadly.

sorry...want to ask. sometimes when i read the forum, i see posting mention wii can play gamecube games. anyone can tell me explain how it works. and what should i need. my wii is unmodded us version.

gamecuge is the previous generation console. it is more meant for those who have a collection of gamecube games to ease those to migrate to the wii. however for u, since u are not from the gamecube console, u will need to have the following first as a prerequisite:
1. Gamecube memory catridge
2. Gamecube controller
3. Gamecube game (disk)

1 and 2, u got to purchase seperately. U can't use the wii controllers.
3. u can get at super discounts now. coz they are discountinued since 2007. the games are very good. in fact most wii games from nintendo are upgrades of the gamecube ones.

ic...i understand. i never play gamecube before so maybe let my kids have some fun on gamecube too using wii console. I'm look into the garage sales whether i still can find those memory catridge and controller.
