Poslaju uses EMS. I think best to checkout TNT rates at MBE outlets.
*
TNT is sure faster than Poslaju, but when it comes to custom problem, only Poslaju(EMS) is best~~ u can get your item out very easily but if TNT, u will be tax directly~

i send a lot of International Parcel, it just my 1 cent~~

Go any MBE outlet, City-link no need open account. And yes cheap and fast!

Thanks for the warning on our local TNTT. http://www.tnttexpress.com/

By the way, don't get confused with TNT. TNT is one of the best international courier.
I luv TNT coz can do reverse delivery. Best thing is to go through any MBE outlet in Malaysia. Cheaper rates than calling TNT pickup.
Their website is here: http://www.tnt.com . You can compare price at the website with the MBE rate. Got nice difference.
*
nobody get confused as TNTT only do local courier~ and TNT is doing International courier~~

and i think many courier do reverse pickup n delivery too.... even poslaju can do.... all just need an email to their centre ya~~

hmmm.. thats the MAJOR problem with online sellers. Everything want cheap, but dont care about reliability.

I personally dont trust ABX coz more expensive and slow. But as mentioned by someone of the post earlier, for those new, unknown and not famous courier depends on your luck. It could range from 50/50 to 75/25 succcess rate.

i tracked my shipment, here's the result. don't really know what it means because this is my first time doing online shopping.

"On tracing" usually means
- on route to destination city (not your house yeah)
- processing in-progress
- trying to identify where you are

By the looks of the dates, it looks promising that it will arrive tomorrow.

Hi all, I would like to send items ( photobook, shirt etc) total less than 1kg to Singapore. I bought a hard cover box to put my stuff in it. Do they count the box's weight in as well?

My question is, Pos Laju or Parcel ? I am afraid that if I use parcel service, my items will not reach Singapore on time because I don't want to miss my friend's birthday.

If I use EMS, Pos Laju or City-Link Express?

I asked Pos Laju today and they said item less than 1kg costs RM 45 + 25% surcharges. But the items will reach within 2-3 days.

I checked City-Link Express and use the rate calculator. The price estimated is RM 52.

Sifus can you guys help me to figure out which one is better in terms of delivery and money wise..

Thanks!!

To answer your question - there is no cheapest. Every courier has its price, based on destination countries.
Based on my own experience, TNT & UPS.

DHL is now famous, so it is also most of the time, the most expensive...

There is a standardised measurement employed by the whole world.

City-Link, UPS, TNT, DHL, FEDEX calculation is based on box = Height x Length x Width (cm) / 5000 = Dimensional / volumetric weight
Pos Laju =Height x Length x Width (cm) / 6000 = Dimensional / volumetric weight (so Pos Laju rates are usually cheaper, coz the weight measurement already reduced).

Actual weight = item + box + consignment note + tape to seal the box

The price is based on either the dimensional weight OR actual weight, whichever is higher.

All couriers have 25% surcharges + 6% GST.

I do not know the price of your courier, but I can only recommend to let the experts tell you. Please refer to your nearest MBE outlet @ www.mbe.com.my (--> aiyo, I sound like advertising for them for free only... sweat.gif )
In my personal opinion, City-Link express is much cheaper at the outlet.

I noticed those who complain in this thread usually are from outside Klang Valley. This is probably due to the courier's small network they are unable to reach many places or lacked of branches to service the area.

I personally does not have much problem receiving and posting items everywhere around Malaysia. Even purchasing from overseas is not a big issue.

Based on my experience, DHL is extremely efficient in handling oversea parcels. Fedex is just almost as good. TNT can go fly kite.

Local couriers are generally ok. However, Gdex do falls into my shitlist. They do not call their customer. I have asked their customer service and the reply is it's their company policy not to call customer. They will come and attempt delivery 2 times and then you will need to pick up from their center. The only other courier who does not call is Poslaju. Still their courier guy will try to call me sometimes.

Not courier service but customs. If customs suspect your package got illegal or prohibited or taxable item, then BINGO!
