In my somewhat limited knowledge, unfortunately the cheapest mail service provider will always be Pos Malaysia. I guess international mail / parcel gives very tiny margin that's why they axed these services without looking back, with the excuse of focusing on domestic poslaju deliveries during covid. In any case our small businesses selling internationally are seriously affected.

Pos laju really destroyed themselves sad.gif , I guess the cheapest might be DHL e-commerce for now

Hi , I'm new to doing online shop , may I ask is there a cheaper service for e-commerce shipping to overseas like USA , Europe and so on?

I'm selling ArtPrints so most of my parcel will be around at maximum 100g plus and will be using mail letters

I have found out that pos Laju is the cheapest for shipping a mail letter but due to Covid-19 Pos Laju have stopped shipping to overseas.

Currently I only know DHL e-commerce is the cheapest among all , for Example if I want to ship a 30g parcel to USA it will cost around RM30+
So I want to ask is there a more cheaper services for e-commerce online shop to ship to overseas?

Ah damn thats a shame. Even eBay limits what I can list on their site so I guess I'll just hold onto the things I have. Thanks for the reply smile.gif

DHL ecommerce is for business because they expect volume. You cant ship one time only.

But, I had to send two pieces of paper to US last week, it was emergency. Price was RM265 and you have to have a business account as well. But for cash, no business account, they deduct 50% and you pay the driver. I did that. RM130 is still a fortune and even though I didnt take overnight service that would cost about RM60 more, it still got there in 24 hours. When you try to sign up online for a delivery, cash isnt an option. So you call the office and arrange on the phone and they send you a special form in email to fill up and then the driver shows up. For something you want to ship, call the office and ask the cash price.

There might be nothing to regret. I mean that you might still regret but it can be called normal. All the couriers have to consolidate cargo to keep the lorries full or they lose money. So they drive to and fro picking up and dropping off to make it as full as possible and your destination, maybe not heavily used by people, has no priority. Like the Beduins said, "the camel has to be full both ways." I dont know what service levels JNT offers but if they have Economy then you get no priority if you chose that. If you pay for immediate service at a much higher price, you get it sooner -- meaning that you are subsidizing the cost of a half-full lorry to get speed.

The lowest document service price I found was DHL -- only when you call them and say you want the CASH price.
