Yes there are many but high cost. FedEx, DHL, all the usual suspects. For below 500grams expect to pay RM100-200 depending on courier. Can try easyparcel for a quote or asiaexpress from pos laju. Ninja Van sends within Asean.

Go on easyparcel and see if the country is listed and if you get a price. If so, then yes. Now, is easyparcel always updated as to what countries have covid restrictions and are not taking parcels? Im not sure. Try and see if you can see the various shippers listed in your quotation page.

I want to send something in less than 500 grams to us oh

All my shipments to US are below 500g and thats the minimum they offer. So if you have 100g you still pay 500g price. On easyparcel, the cheapest I see for 150g package is RM105 on SF Express and the highest is FedEx at RM195. Asiaexpress is RM200 for that. A problem is volumetrics which is the greater of the size OR weight. This means that you get a price, but if asked for dimensions you might be quoted a different price. Example, a 1mm plastic rod that weighs 50g but is 100 meters long would need special pricing and you will pay for the length because its far bigger than the weight. Flexipak and some others methods made volumetric estimations by saying that whatever you can fit inside up to the weight limit of their package would go at a stated price.

Want to ask about poslaju.

My friend sent me a package from puchong (postcode 47100) to my address (Kuala Lumpur 53300). Total cost was rm17

Size: 24cmx14cm
Weight: 300g

picture

Usually package this size is rm7. How come kena charged so much? Even postage calculator stated rm7 the most.

Have you tried any tracking on your own? Example, try 17track.net and see if you see any update. Otherwise, you have to understand that logistics are all screwed up right now and packages are going all over the place and handed off to different people. If there was no Customs capacity at Sibu then some other place would handle it. Was it sent by USPS? Has the sender started a tracing/complaint case through USPS? I think you can do that through the USPS website.

I believe you. I calculated RM7 for a package on Pos Laju, Penang to KL. When I went to mail it, they charge me rm18.55! I complained but it did no good. The problem is volumetrics and how they calculate weight vs. size. Yes, 300g, RM7, ok! But they didnt like the size and added much money. Next time, 300g but very small size! Your real complaint is why they charge so much for a difference in size but I think they are quickly trying to make up losses due to covid and re-arranged their volumetric schedules to maximize profit. Better we all buy stock shares of Hicom!!

Thanks for the reply! I contacted my friend, apparently she did pickup service from her house? I didn't know poslaju had that. She said it was rm6, but add that up with rm7 for the package of 300g with the aforementioned dimension, it wouldn't total up to rm17. Sounds like they're just plainly charging hidden fees?

Just send digital card. Local post is not worth it for the price they are charging now. It was rm2xx for document sized package to US alone for asiaexpress

Hello, anyone knows what is the cheapest way to send a 1kg parcel to the UK?
I tried sending today and it cost Me rm400!! How did Taobao manage to send to Malaysia by air so cheap? I bought some stuff from the US and the shipping was free too. Why is Malaysia charging so expensive to send out... (I know covid but its so unreasonable)

I'm planning to buy something and the seller will be using USPS. Do you think the service is ok given the current situation now?

My personal experience usually it takes 2 3 weeks(top) for my item to reach me, but now I dunno..and do you have experience using their mail express? Which is that they'll be using
*
Yes it should be ok....i just talked to USPS and they said services are OK....but...that doesnt mean once a package arrives Malaysia that it will be fast delivery.

About DHL Express Malaysia, my quote for a small parcel is way too high. Also, prices going up 5% 1 Jan. Also, now DHL wants cash shippers to leave their packages OPEN for inspections. Dont seal them or they will be cut open. What prompted this sudden change? Contraband shipments? Descriptions not matching contents?

Vietnam is like that, you have to take your packages to the post office fully open and they remove and examine the contents to Approve or Disapprove. In Thailand, only approved third parties can pack and seal packages. I wonder if this is coming to Malaysia too?

Not sure if anyone have asked this before. Who's better for instant delivery when it comes to LALAMOVE vs GRAB DELIVERY? Especially price wise.
