Anyone here who recently ordered stuff from Japan using standard Airmail? I would like to know the speed currently given the CMCO.
I have two packages dispatched from Japan airport on Oct 20 and 21, which have yet to be updated in the tracking.
In September, my packages from Japan only took 3-4 business days to be received at KLIA following dispatch from Japan.

I have 3 items from JP using EMS to deliver. i am still waiting for my items since 14thOctober.

I have emailed them the invoice and they call me around 21st Ocotober and told me that the items will be delivered another 3 working days and my total tax is how much. But since then they never picked up and my phone and answer my email anymore. I am still waiting for my items to be delivered πŸ˜”

Oh, thanks for the information! Looking at the tracking, your EMS items took a week to reach Malaysia from Japan. So mine will probably be double or more of that time because I used Airmail.
Wonder how backed up the KLIA post hub currently is.

PS. I hope you get your items safely soon. Customs usually take a long time - the one and only time it happened to me early this year, I ended up driving down to the customs office to settle it myself. Not so advisable in Covid season though.

Is there a direct alternative to Pos Malaysia Flexipak?

We have an Ebay business and ship 150gm and 250gm Pos Malaysia Flexipaks. With tracking, the 150gm pack was RM28 to all world. When covid started, Pos Malaysia quit service 21 March and re-opened end of May, then closed again Aug 3 and still closed. And so are we.

On its website it claimed it was broke and let go 50% of its staff, but somehow found money to make a whole new website and pushed AsiaExpress courier for RM100 for a 150gm pack. I wrote to our MP to insist that the MP introduce legislation to give the international service back to the govt from HiCom since HiCom claimed it was broke and could no longer provide the service. The MP acknowledged the long letter about a month ago and said it would contact HiCom but no reply since. There is a terrible cheating being put against the public and small business that despite "covid challenges" is forcing the public to switch its own high-profit service where there seems to be NO covid or financial challenges!

Meantime, other Ebay sellers were continuing to sell online, switching from Flexipak to ________?? The shipping charges are only RM15 from Malaysia to US for 150gm! One seller is RM12! How are they doing that? I wrote to sellers but no replies.

Checking prices from Singapore Post, I see prices are very cheap and thats how at least some people are shipping now. I wrote to Singapore Post to ask how small business was using Singapore Post from Malaysia and SP didnt have a clue. The clue is that sellers are running over the bridge from JB and mailing, or sellers are sending to someone in SG who then re-mails at a SP office.

Currently, I am trying to get SP to open a method of courier straight to them from Malaysia. I am also writing to the Universal Postal Union to complain about HiCom because I believe that member countries have to provide a low cost method for "international small parcels" and HiCom is violating that by using the excuse of Covid to force people into high cost services in which Covid is suddenly not a problem at all!

But we still need a solution. I have been checking all known couriers on the planet and all are high cost from Malaysia to any destination, between RM100 and RM400 for small packs. JNT, GDexpress, FedEx, all of the locals have a method but all are high cost if you are a low-volume shipper. Other couriers from China deliver here but do not pick up for other destinations.

Are any of you selling online for international? How are you doing it at low cost?

I'm using Singpost to post stuff to the US. Singpost has increased their prices from $8.30 to $12.30 starting last week if not mistaken, for Registered Mail with tracking. Asiaxpress prices is crazy . They quoted me RM250 for 100gm letter size package to the US

Yes, as the commercial flights are closed the prices has increased over 10% for all companies. The difference in postal service and faster express service has ended that is why I have started using DHL Express. My package reaches US from Malaysia in 3 days.

They are giving 50% discount to credit card customers. Promo Code : DHLMY50

https://mydhl.express.dhl/my/en/home.html#/...eNewShipmentTab

You can check their rate online, after promo code it should come lower then Asiaxpress.

Stay Safe!

I've got 3 international parcels on the way from pos laju but there aren't any updates on the tracking site over the past week ever since they closed down the IPC/KLIA hub due to covid.

I used the chat bot on the pos malaysia website to talk to an agent and they told me two items have actually arrived. One was last week while the other just yesterday and they'll help with expediting the one that has been stuck for a week.

Just letting you guys know that
1. Talking to the agent via chat bot on the pos malaysia site is helpful
2. If the tracking isn't updated, it's probably not scanned yet. High chance that it's here but they are running in minimal manning

Either your local customs officer will call you to clear the tax or delivered straightaway to your door

Me too. But in all these pages, no workable solution even though Malaysian sellers have switched to SOMETHING. Go on ebay and search for "rubber stamp malaysia" and see they are sending (less than) 150 gram packs to USA for RM12....RM16.....how? Mystery. They were on flexipak so where did they go?

Hello all, is there any cheap services to deliver to United Kingdom?

Based on EasyParcel, the cheapest courier was TNT. However, when I asked TNT personally through call, it’s more expensive than initiated in EasyParcel. Hence I am not sure now.

Thank you in advance

Unless you have a friend/relative in singapore, no courier is available atm to send things internationally now. Pos malaysia's own Asiaxpress quoted rm250 just for letter sized doc to US .

If you have a contact in singapore, you can send them via j&t express and have them post via singpost which costs SGD12 or so.

I wonder when will this domestic shipping or international shipping time back to normal? I thought now are RMCO, maybe there are more flight now?
*
I keep checking POS and also flights. POS says not this year, at least, and flights say sometime between March and June but they have changed the dates many times. Its all political now, they will stretch this out waiting for forced vaccinations which I will never take! Hicom refuses to answer questions about "normal." Meantime people and business suffer with MCO more and more.
