hi Jeff ..  which brand of the hood has been installed in the pic ?
*
2nd pic is FOTILE EH06 but that is not the best hood. For performance u should go for EH10BQ (with ionized air curtain) which most forumers bought from me or CTS9004 (with suction power 1,450m3/h), the new hood which will b available next week.

hi zheilwane, wat're ur take on the above photos :-

# The position of both end of hanger

- in 1st photo, the hanger on the kitchen wall : the left end is drilled exactly at the "divider" line in between tiles while another end is drilled near the divider line due to its length

- but in 4th photo, looks like both end are drilled not at the "divider" line in between tiles

i heard that is the end point of a hanger when is drill not at the "devider" line, the tiles have high possibility of getting crack ...
So wat's the best position to minimize the possibility of crack ?

# Material of the countertop

- wat's the material of the countertop where the hob is sitting ?
- wat's the material *under* the countertop ... is it wood or the same material as the surface top ?

thx..

Im a bit confused right now. im goin to get my house keys soon and planning to extend the kitchen about 22x3. my house is 22x75. my questions is as below;

1) shud i find kitchen cabinet contractor now before getting house keys (worried if the price will increase)

2) can i just use the floor plan to make a kitchen design (3d design)

3) if i book now the kitchen contractor now, will they come later to make final measurement before instalation

4) am i suppose to built the concrete table according to my preference or the kitchen cabinet company wil giv an specific measurement

5) how is the payment term for the kitchen cabinet i.e single payment, 3 payment or monthly payment n others

6) shud i buy now other kitchen items like hood, hob, oven, sink and others

I hope some sifu can giv me guide on the above matters.

btw, i just recall that there are some forumers who recommend ppl to DIY their piping to increase water pressure. So they do not need to install a water pump which is what ur plumber suggested, cost u few hundred ringgit but the water pressure is still weak.

May b u can share ur experience in the water pump thread to help other forumers who are renovating their house.
