my parents are planning to renovate the house soon. And we're looking into some kitchen designs. Nowadays i see a lot of kitchens have hoods above the stove.  We used to have a house years ago that had a hood and it was a hassle just maintaining it because it was mostly oily. My family cooks everyday and we're not the type that go out to eat unless we're outside. So we plan not to have a hood, but I dont know if the technology of hoods has improve over the years where cleaning and maintaining it wont be a hassle or not.

So i'd like to ask a few 2 cents from you guys if its that necessary at all to have one or it would be fine without one? Btw, my parents just plan to install an exhaust fan as the ventilation, and we normally open the kitchen door when we cook

Cleaning a single pcs of hoods is easy or cleaning a whole kitchen is easy?

Hi Dom,

Yeah the bottom cabinet combo is what i looking for (black + white), just that my floor tile is not so bright color as your design. Therefore i wonder will that clash....hehe

The wall cabinet I am not going to use Black color coz i prefer my kitchen to be bright tone. But a noob question here, will the cooking smoke and oil stick to the wall cabinet and making their color to become yellowish over the years?

Hi Alesi

Normally while you cooking the Hood will on they will mininum the smoke & oil stick to the bottom cabinet and of cource after your cooking sure will clean up the place .

So far my client after 2 -3 years there no mention about the wall cabinet turn to yellowwish ....

Thanks

Hello Erny/UD, I'll be getting the keys to my new house some time mid April (fingers crossed) and my master bedroom is 16X20 feet with an attached bathroom on the 16' wall. If I made a partition just after the bathroom door that will leave me with 13' which I want to do something like the walk-in you posted a while back. Can you give me an estimated quote for that please? House is located in Cheras Hijaun Residence.

Had mine done with INCUBE from one of the home deco fair,. Very good job and made lots of ammendments during the installation. Their price is also quite competitive.
