QUOTE(phythia79 @ Nov 25 2010, 04:55 PM) Thanks wrb7878 for the advise...I'm still in the midst of searching for the right items. Another forumer recommended Fotile range at a good price..just that as I'm living in an apartment, I have limited space thus slimhood is more suitable..so still looking. I'll attach the design next. [attachmentid=1904220] Hi, I notice your countertop for the Hob is slightly (2-3 inch?) lower than the countertop for sink. Is that design by purpose to cater for feng shui? (because according to chinese feng shui the hob - fire level should be lower than the sink- water level, sort of) Nowadays I saw a lot countertop design is flat level for both hob & sink, therefore i am puzzled how to figure the 'water' and 'fire' level.....is the sink or the water tap considered the 'water' level? Need advice from sifus here

QUOTE(REEN YONG @ Mar 28 2011, 06:56 PM) Thanks for your reply. Still looking around and found out now the tile come out 4x2 anti stain from China. Expensive abt RM90-100 per piece. My contractor said he can do it for me inclusive tile total lenght 34' for RM3700. I might consider it. Anybody use this 4x2 tile before and pro and con?? wow 4' x 2'?? would that too hard to 'stick' onto the concrete top? will it 'pop' up after few yrs of usage? because current 2x2 tile already need special compound n good workmanship to tile. feel not secure to chop chicken on the 4x2, who knows it will break into 2 piece >_<"

what color do you suggest to put on the 3G top and bottom cabinet? if the floor tile is biege color (light brownish), the concrete top i plan to put black with silver/gold dotted (some ppl said black galaxy), and the wall tile i plan to put white.
Is white color for both wall and bottom cabinet looks good? will it clash color with the kitchen top and floor tile?

QUOTE(dominicnyk @ Apr 3 2011, 01:54 PM) Dear Alesi How about this picture samples i done to my client ......thanks best Regards Dom email : glazinginspirations@hotmail.com Hi Dom, Yeah the bottom cabinet combo is what i looking for (black + white), just that my floor tile is not so bright color as your design. Therefore i wonder will that clash....hehe The wall cabinet I am not going to use Black color coz i prefer my kitchen to be bright tone. But a noob question here, will the cooking smoke and oil stick to the wall cabinet and making their color to become yellowish over the years? asking a 'main' contractor to do all the job will not solve your problem, in fact worsen the mess when that contractor himself is problematic, delay delivery, sloppy job, never go and supervise his worker.... then what for hire him to CREATE MORE MESS?
I had a very bad experience and now I believe engage things separately sometimes might be better.
IF and ONLY IF u manage to get a good contractor. But nowadays good/ethical business man are lesser and lesser...

QUOTE(Erny_Looi @ Jul 17 2011, 05:43 PM) Ya, for this kind of glass doors, the surrounding of the glass have to be well polish. Beside that, for glossy surface material without aluminum frame, we have like acrylic, 3G glass door (trimX), high gloss laminated (Membrane press). Added on July 17, 2011, 5:44 pmYa, granite or quartz normally within 8 ft long. So there will be a joint if you have L-shape table or the table longer than 8ft. Added on July 17, 2011, 5:47 pmYa, i built that 2 panel with lighs and the hanging tv cabinet. The ceiling height 8ft, just nice to use 1 whole piece of board to build it. side track a bit here.... Hi Erny, are you sure the living room ceiling height is just 8ft? coz I know the alpha fan (828/5B model) is about 18 inch, if it is attach to a 8ft ceiling the fan will be too low n hit tall ppl's hand.... because i have a same problem here, my ceiling height (after putting plaster ceiling) is abt 9ft, i also not dare to put the same model of alpha fan coz when i raise my hand will touch the center of the fan....
