Hi all,

Need to ask something. Me just balik from kg. Now when I on my ps3 for about 30 minutes than the fan will go to
'turbo' mode. This never happened before sweat.gif . I've checked the air that come out from the vent and I confirmed it's cool.
How come the fan spin in 'turbo' mode when the temperature not hot? rclxub.gif

I tried uncle google for help but I found others condition a bit different than mine as hot air coming out form their ps3.

please icon_question.gif

p/s : mine is 40GB SG set

if we can fix sean's console, we will definitely do it. unfortunately we are unable to for now. i know sean is sad but even if we rebake his motherboard, it wont work. we already tried on few consoles that has this firmware update problems. at the moment we are still waiting for the new updates to solve this. apparently some of my technician friends in HK n singapore also have several of this kind of problems. once we know the solutions, we will share it with u guys
thanks

=.=" just set up new HT system.. tested bluray a while then can't read BD anymore..

Sigh.. ps2 5+ years and no need replace/service lens/etc.. and now PS3 so fast need to repair.. cis.

Anyway, those that had their lens/BD drive replaced.. anyone encountered the same failure after repairing? Just curious on the failure rate after got it fixed.

The 40GB and 60GB are the most dangerous ones.

Old 80GB also got, but very few.

Your 80GB is 4 USB and PS2 software emu right?

That one not as bad as 60GB and 40GB.

60GB got the GS from the PS2 as well as the EE, so lots of heat.

40GB is something to do with the airflow, so heat get trapped.

However, i'm not a PS3 guru, so don't take my word for it tongue.gif
