haiz my ps3 just got YLOD.. cry.gif

i really dont know whether it is because of firmware update, or whatever reasons..

Yesterday still can play till 1am, this morning on the console since 10am to 12pm, then switch off and move to my living room, on the console again for 10 mins, suddenly it switch off automatically, with red light blinking. I try to on it back it just appear the yellow light and can't switch on again.

just one and a half year usage...sad.gif and unlike your guys, i can't buy any new ps3 due to some personal reason, so what i can do now is to pray the technician can fix my console..otherwise gonna say farewell to ps3 gaming cry.gif

A really bad day to me cry.gif

even so,dont tell me you cant EVER buy another console sweat.gif

sweat.gif

my wife already regretted to allow me to buy ps3 coz she said i should spend more time with her (but i already reduce my gaming time and only play game during weekend sweat.gif )

i can buy any console by my own but looking at current situation, i just don't want to have more quarrel with her, just becoz of my own hobby/ interest doh.gif Definitely she will be very unhappy if i re-purchase a new console, regardless of i have any valid reason or not sweat.gif

i'm not so sure whether it is due to recent firmware update that caused my ps3 YLOD..

But after i update fw 3.01 few days later my ps3 encounter YLOD. My console just bought 1 1/2 year old and i'm only play games during weekend, or occasionally 2 hours during weekday. How can it be overheat so fast?

I'm now suspecting it might due to the firmware update, rather than hardware defect...

looks like the current fw3.01 still got issue..it's either as big as YLOD, or as small as hanging/blank screen loading/ minor issue...

It's like it randomly pick up any machine to activate the timer bomb..

Any news that Sony will release new fw3.02 to one-off solve the problems?

Mine one is CECHG series, 40GB.

Thinking of that, i highly suspect whether it may not be the latest fw prob that caused my ps3 YLOD..becoz my ps3 is encounter YLOD exactly after 1 week i update to fw 3.01. If really is the fault from fw, by right it should YLOD once i installed the new fw right? not after 7 days baru caused prob?

By then come to another question, that day i kena YLOD is around morning 11am, where i start my console at 9am. Just 2 hours can caused overheating? Sony product so lousy?

Really this YLOD is caused by fw, or purely hardware malfunction? rclxub.gif

its the console lifetime i think.... not just 2 hrs for overheating... degradation overtime... due to heat... in unsuspecting manner...

whatever it is. Still nobody can confirm exactly what caused YLOD..

i pray hardly that the fix is not mean for temporary basis wink.gif Coz i dont wanna miss the OCTOBER FEST!!

my advise to you guys who have been hit, start saving for a new PS3. Fixing it is just like patching a tire, it will strike you back.
*
hmm... hmm.gif

bro how about your unit that previously fixed from YLOD? How long did your console revive until now?

Just curious to know, for my own reference.

YLOD survivors usually can last awhile (not like RROD, 1 day can kena again doh.gif ), but risky.

Some people fix, 1 year also can tahan, but they don't play much tongue.gif

omg at first i'm happy that my console being fixed, but then the most i can enjoy is less than 1 year? shocking.gif

really feel upset again... grumble.gif

yeah lets hope so..

once being bite by snake, forever you scare to see a rope..

previously i dont care about those YLOD issue, coz i have full confident on sony product (my ps1 and ps2 still playable until now). After i kena, and when i search through all those forums, reading on those victims experience, now i know how frustration when you're really in that position...

To those still yet to experience YLOD issue, i sincerely hope that your console can last as long as possible, and enjoy your gaming time as much as you can smile.gif
