QUOTE(xcrue @ Aug 15 2009, 01:14 PM) Yeah.. maybe it's due to the faulty batch issue which drag out the buyers' confidence. But nevertheless, for any new D5000 potential buyers,please make sure u guys not buying one of the faulty batch kit I think mine one is faulty batch kit..... but so far i dint found any problem yet.

I was checking out D5000 at one of the shops nearby area and he recommended me Canon 40D instead cause D5000 having some call back issue :S. Just asking for opinions, how does D5000 fare to 40D? Sadly in my area the cheapest D5000 is 3.1k and 40D cost 3.2k. (Melaka btw)

For those who PM/email me on the Nikon D5000 price ... the Nikon booth offering RM2900 for the body/kit... and cum wit some cheap skate freebies such as bag, SDcard and tripod.... {all rubbish stuff}must well they knock off RM200 for everybody i reakon shall be much better.
I picked up a Lowepro Fastpack 250 RM370 for my gal.... {not from Keat store.. Keat selling for RM490}..... better be quick else if u miss it u can still get the same price from YL; Pudu plaza. Ask for Luvence. He can sells u one.
Tripod quite ok... Benro- A250EX+BH-0 => RM256. A300EX+BH-0 => RM304.
Have fun guys...

QUOTE(danielwan @ Aug 16 2009, 12:47 AM) Does this mean D5000 not good? Cos I'm thinking of getting one.. nope..its not like that.. it just means that the early production batches have faulty circuit boards or something.. u just need to buy the ones that is not faulty by checking out the serial numbers This post has been edited by alpha_company: Aug 16 2009, 01:11 AM

Cos I'm thinking of getting one.. its good.. very good actually.. one of my friend bought it and ya her unit was into those faulty batches.. so she sent it to nikon, got it around 1 hour to service.. but before sending it to nikon, her camera never got any error..
