Put off by 2 things though, shipping fee isn't to my liking, and no digital port means the next best thing is S-Video only

I have my GC solely for Resident Evil games!

I wanted to get the GC component cable but since its so expensive, I wonder - if i insert the GC disc in Wii, and use Wii component output to display the GC game, will the effect be the same?

if the "effect" you are talking about refers to Progressive Scan mode then the answer is YES.

btw, make sure your TV can support progressive scan too. Just the cable alone won't be sufficient but i guess there's still a fair bit of improvement over Composite or S-Video.

if you are not too happy about jaggies though ... you might not find it an improvement ! that's because it's just that much sharper output !

You mean component vs composite dark? The improvement is quite significant, especially red details

I meant it had the region lock but it can be bypassed by a simple Freeloader disc, which Wii also had but disabled after a while.

There's this 2nd hand game shop here in Australia, they do sell Gamecube games (2nd hand though) for as little as $10 I think.
Do you think it's worth buying and keeping even though I don't own a Gamecube.
Just asking for opinions. Thanks.

In the UK there used to be (still probably there) a chain called CEx... selling & exchanging used computer & video games systems, accessories and software. My favourite place in all of Oxford Street.

Wish there's something similar in Malaysia, but I guess the easy availability of *ahem* games makes for many gamers who do not value their software collection. Not all of 'em, though.

Don't really know to be honest. Looks just like an MK clone to me.
