@stereokumonomu,

At the moment, I got no time to go for Batman Arkham Asylum.

I am using 2 monitors (each monitor connected one display card.)

I received couple of PM about the workable solution on the ATI + nVidia Physx solution. Below is my reply and hopes that would help some other people.

QUOTE
You can search over the web for the crack but frankly speaking, I didn't find those crack workable.

The real trick is the the nvidia card must connect to another monitor. If not, the whole nvidia control panel won't show up in the menu.

However, there is a trick (hardware) based. Kindly refer to below link for the url.

Coolaler forum - VGA dummy connector.

Please take note, the material above is not proven by me for workable solution. You test and let me know.

Woah, what a waste sweat.gif Technically a 8600GT is sufficient already as all the PhysX supported games out there does not require heavy physics calculations.
Use your ATI card as main output and your 8800GT as secondary. Install both drivers and enable 8800GT as dedicated PhysX card in NVIDIA control panel.
And yes, PhysX is a much more powerful physics engine compared to Havok. Last I heard, PhysX is used in more advanced simulation programmes than games.

thank you for ur advice... the 8600gt physx engine is not powerful enough for the new physx powered game such as batman akhlam asylum and nurien demo...as i run the physx benchmark test, the score is not high enough with gtx260 too... gtx260 with dedicated 9800gtx as physx adapter would be recommended for high setting of physx in batman A.A .. another game like cryostasis needed heavy physx calculating too... in high physx setting.. thank you

just by anychance is it possible to do it with 1 monitorr....  rclxub.gif

ya i am using one monitor too.... u connect ur ati card ( primary adapter ) to the dvi port... nvidia ( secondary adapter ) to vga port....this is to bluff the nvidia card that u are using it.... without connecting the nvidia card to monitor, ur nvidia control panel would be disabled and never could open to enable the physx...of course u need to apply a patch first

theres a guide on the internet on how to do it with single monitor...involves a DVI-VGA dongle and some resistors....easily done...google and see

Added on February 22, 2010, 2:59 pmoh.... n 8600GT not enough for PhysX?

sure ah? on nvidia says its practically the minimum....and before that the minimum was even a lower card but they changed

So 4890 Crossfire + 8600GT as PhsyX? A few FPS(1~3) wouldn't affect anything with your specs, I guess.

You can't. For SLI, same model only.

Bro..here some tips:
Would be better do this on fresh windows installation, make sure to download the patch and new forceware.(depend on the GC as well as the patch)
Here's The Link:
http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/17706-h...03-v1-04ff.html

1-Plug ur main GC (ATI)on the pci-x16
2-Then ur nvidia GC on pci-x4 enough already.
3-Then log to ur windows and start installation
4-Install ur ATI catalys 1st then reboot
5-Then install nvidia forceware reboot
6-Then log windows into safe mode press F8
7-Use then GenL patch, patch it then reboot
8-Log in to windows,go to screen resolution - detect - click on the nvidia
adapter extend it.
9-Go to the nvidia - physx section - enable
10-Then run fluidmark for physx testing..

I have tested on my AMD RIG which use XFX 6850 + ZOTAC 9600GT,
1st time i have no idea that the GC is working. Then i try to reformat back my pc the thing already ok.. thumbup.gif
Note:Do not patch it to many times.
