if you really wish 2 configure page file, use another disk drive which doesnt have high read or writes to it constantly, preferably another drive letter and drive partition (non windows partition)
i used 2 create a D: drive specifically for page file, with 2GB of space for it however soon i scrapped the idea because i bought more physical RAM. (at that time i only had 512mb)
what screws me over is that page file doesnt neccesarily speed up applications , according 2 some read ups i did last time
page file was created 10 years ago for the purpose of low RAM however when RAM price dropped, page file soon became useless. disabling it soon became the way to go , mostly
it still remains for BSOD logs and MS suggests u keep it on but i wouldnt, i dont send BSOD logs to MS
in customer environments & datacentres , i only turn it on when MS asks me to turn it on for BSOD logs
