Agree too. i5 and i7 is more affordable comparing the C2D/Q. Well probably is time for us sc478 to shift perhaps? Haha.
Kah Loon,we should wait for the phase 2 i3/i5.... INTEL P4/PM 478/479 THREAD, >>V8<<, The Journey Continues Here!

QUOTE(ravewar @ Nov 7 2009, 03:15 PM) Best proc from LGA775? QX9650? That one will be very expensive still.QUOTE(dlwl @ Nov 7 2009, 03:41 PM) seems like it, e8xxx series also looks like a considerable option, for those who dont really require a quaddie. If you notice the price of E8400 and Q8400 is about similar. Best price over performance(multitasking) is still vote to Q8400.but for me, i see amd's option as a better alternative, coz i read that current socket am3 will be around for quite some time. |

QUOTE(powerwoot @ Nov 8 2009, 02:29 PM) Me just down clock to default few days ago, I don't see any real performance instead of increasing the rating number. Summore I am using the chicken brand psu and yesterday ordered a cm storm scout casing from lingloong, the case itself comes with bling2 fans top, rear and front + if overclocking I am afraid I'll stress and burn the psu. Next month if budget permits, I am going to order the xigmatek 500w psu also from him. Totally disagree, you will see the performance if you clock higher than stock about 20%. For normal net surfing of course the clock doesn't help you much, but in gaming it helps a lot. How much is the CM Storm Scout? |

Just get a 1TB for yourself, don't bother with 808GB one. DDR2 2GB kit is so expensive nowadays. DDR1 price is still about the same price you mentioned.

Suddenly fylon and edmin are there, they have been always the storage freak. The HDDs are now getting cheaper and cheaper,by next year i guess the TB series HDDs are going to be the domain in the market.

QUOTE(edministrator @ Nov 13 2009, 04:39 PM) true, but there's a cons in all these huge HDDs, when any of the terabytes HDD dies, imagine the data that goes along with it! it will be a nightmare! That's why RAID become more common on most of the modern motherboards. Just use RAID 1 to mirror the data.QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Nov 13 2009, 04:59 PM) lubang price somemore. Can extend, but the expensive card isn't coming cheap if i am not mistaken. My price is before lubang price. Too bad, my lubang at SriComp doesn't carry 808GB HDD. So I am going Viewnet for it. Got such thing one ah? Extend so can cucuk more HDD? |

QUOTE(edministrator @ Nov 13 2009, 08:43 PM) yes, and we don't buy HDDs one shot, we acquire them as needed. different time different sizes different prices. that's why u c mine and fylon's HDD varies in capacities. Hohoh edmin, don't worry on the HDDs gone. RAID save save us. Added on November 13, 2009, 10:01 pm QUOTE(UnknownH @ Nov 13 2009, 09:12 PM) sorry2.typo.it's sata expansion.. Mr. edmin, the readyboost does help a lot? Have never tried it before. So far just disable the virtual memory usage only.

@V12Kompressor,your PSU has too much juice which can't be produce. Why? Because old school like us doesn't need that much juice from your PSU.I guess by using 50% of your rated juice is very sufficient already.

QUOTE(UnknownH @ Nov 14 2009, 08:11 PM) guys, wanna ask. No concern over there. The external HDD will only require to plug both usb plugs when your PC can't detect the external HDD by 1 plug.i have this external hdd.actually it's my sis's. the external cable normally have 2 usb connector right? but she always insert one of them and the external hdd is working. my question is,the hdd can be affected or not?maybe failure in future if still insert 1 usb only? |
