@SurpriseZZZZZ, give me your spec please.
@kabu,your 2.4G is using 60% of the cpu resource while playing 720p. It can show that old school is capable to paly hd movies nicely with the help of CoreAVC.

Added on June 4, 2009, 9:24 am@fylon,i'm using an entry level of the Pentium Dual core in the company,no laptop for me. sleep.gif

socketA?? my socketA AthlonXp2000+ just retired. should be s462 right? hmm.gif

i think the performance is almost the same as old Axp. unless is barton which is 333 or 400fsb.
how is yours? You have better spec than me. by fact it should be better perform than mine. 1080p you cant play smoothly? i cant, ed last time can, quite weird... sad.gif
*
Old athlon is running at 333fsb only. I don't have any 1080p with me.I will try later when i get it.Why edmin one was weired?

@duncan880409, i don't know what is the nature of the Raffles Southbridge chipset behaves.If after RMA is still hot then what you can do is just add another heatsink with thermal paste with a fan to cool it down. What chipset is the southbridge?

@kabu
yeah, i modded it before passing it 2 u. that's not mine though, my friend's unit. shows that anything can be modded for better performance depending on creativity. my new xfi is bare card, no heat sink on board, and i m feeling skeptical since my ex-xfi has one...

@dlwl,
your casing side panel cannot be closed if you installed the RS on your mobo, lol... how's your TMG i2 performing compared to stock?
*
Modded with a heatsink on the sound card does improve the performance of it? hmm.gif

lol, what i meant was the heat dissipation of the chipsets... will also let the components live longer  laugh.gif

Usually i don't see the sound card overheat one unless you "o/c " or modding the caps and power amp on the sound card.

Wah.. Just away for 1 day and the thread got flooded! Hahha.. Anyways guys, just to update here.. Upgraded my system to a better stage. Within these 2 month i had lay my hand on:

- 74GB Raptor
- X-Fi XtremeMusic
- Altec V4121 (currently run 4:2 with my old sch woofer)
- OCZ Ram cooler (for the purpose of 3.2Ghz daily brows.gif)
- 5* 90CFM fan
- Swap my UD3R to Asus P5Q-PRO with my nephew
- Swap my old sch LG 1780Q to Asus H233H

Well.. This is my final upgrade list for my current system. Guess wont gonna touch it for sometime until something go died.
P/s: Refer my siggy for full ist. laugh.gif

Disappointed,no Asus Xonar comes out from you. doh.gif Raptor 74GB only? Enough to use or not? 5*90CFM fans? On your CM690 ? Asus P5-Q Pro heard is not bad in o/cing. brows.gif Your kentsfiled still can pushing harder to 3.3GHz .

Haha.. The 74Gb just for mainly OS partition man. Games & etc will store at my other disk. Yea.. I not sure how far can the P5Q-PRO goes, but with my UD3R i could archive 3.2Ghz with 1:1 ratio. And CIE on.

Btw, Acer H233H rocks. 23 inch, 16:9 full HD, all VGA, HDMI & DVI port available, 2ms response and the mainly thing i buy it is because of the price. RM630 only. lust.gif
*
1:1 ratio is still getting the best performance in o/cing. I believe the performance won't be < than your UD3R. 22 inches with full HDMI supports. Nice.

fylon,suddenly my mine think that your GC's heat is circulating in the casing that's why you will need 5*90 CFM fans yo cool them down?

I think sometime in the future i must make myself upgrade to a btter casing instead of using both side naked with a help of 40cm table fan blade to cool my case down. rclxub.gif
