Yea P4 also one of the l337 stuff.. I mean in term of old sch! Hahah! Jk~ icon_rolleyes.gif

@Bai
I bet ur going to have same out as kabu, when hitting certain spd, u cant run on 1:1 ratio. Anyways, ur pressHot still ablet 2 be push higher. At least a 3.5 or 3.6 will be sweet.

Old school not 1942 ? 1942 Battlefield. Prescott 3.46 is a bit normal and not yet reach the ceiling. One thing have to beware is the temperature,it will be too hot when reaching 3.6GHz. I would say with the original heatsink is hard to run stable at that speed.

@bai,try with low latency on the RAM. It might help you to run at 1:1 divider .

@fylon,can run at 1:1 divider is the best else 5:4 would be the 2nd choice after 1:1. I don't recommend 3:2 ratio as the RAM is way too slow in transferring data. Bai's mobo can't set to vDimm 2.8 volt,max only 2.68V.

@kabu,yeah ..don't expect the RAM can run well on the "X" board. Their setting in bios is quite a low end one.

@fylon, BH5 is not going to work well on the "X" board. No need to waste that effort there. Timing 2-2-2-6 is damn nice if i can run on my board. thumbup.gif

@ianho, last time 2*1GB kits were so expensive because of unpopular and uncommon. Nowadays the DDR2 RAM is dirt cheap. All bosses go to jail because of "fry" the chips price?

you know max3 la... last time is was the 1 that broke world record to 5ghz using LN2, dont play play. actually if using 3:2, 300fsb:200ram only... but for 5:4, it should be 300:240. still achievable if not using 1:1 in most case. correct me if wrong.
*
Yeah,i read the review on Abit IC7-Max3 mobo. It was a legendary o/c..300FSB.

@fylon,i'm still on Win XP now. Yeah,currently i'm with 3GB of RAM. Damn nice with large amount of RAM,can't finish using with a game and some applications on. I'm planning to get a Vista to load in also but currently i don't have installer for myself. Just now downloaded the Windows 7 using company line,the speed can be 2-3MB/s. thumbup.gif

@ray
Lol.. Torrent for it man. Guess less then 3.5GB for 32bit Vista. Since u can get 2-3MB/s with ur company line, Vista can just been down in 1 hrs time.
*
Company block torrent already. Just now i think the Windows 7 2.2GB files are complete downloading in 20 mins... sweat.gif sweat.gif I will get a Vista for myself maybe in July when i go back to hometown again. After than let you know about my satisfaction.

all the sifu out there..need a quick question

which of this mobo should i buy?
1)Abit AI7
2)MSI 865PE Neo2-V
3)Asus P4P800
4)Intel D865PERL
5)Abit IS7

thanks thanks. donno if i posted in the right thread or not
*
Wao,you have so many choices to pick?
My sequence should be like this: Abit AI7,Asus P4P800,Abit IS7-E,MSI 865 Neo-V and lastly Intel 865PERL. First 4 items can make o/c while Intel board can't.

@pengster,nice new toy from you. The temp should be good enough except for core 0 which is 52 degree C. Why it's much higher than others?
